How to remove outer door sail panel

Can someone tell me how to remove the black outside door trim piece that's by the side mirror. It kind of crappy looking and I want to paint it. The Back to Black stuff didn't really do so good.

IIRC you have to roll the window down, pull the window guide/channel out from the trim piece, and there are two philips head screws holding it into place. It just slides up and out.

Easy to do ,I replaced both of mine the fall while doing the door handles.

Are they side specific or interchangeable? Had my Jeep sent to be painted. So I first stripped her down (save for the sails) then painted the trim, bumpers, mirrors, etc myself while she was gone When I got her back she was sitting outside overnight before I brought her in to reinstall everything. Someone apparently poked their thumbs in both sails breaking through that rubbery material. Now instead of just needing to paint them I now have to replace them.
And why are they so damned expensive and hard to find? Yeah I’m kind of irritated.

They are side specific. It would appear they are so expensive because Mopar no longer makes them and the aftermarket doesn’t make them either.

Can’t you just mask off the door and window channel and paint? There are two screws you have to get to in order to remove that trim piece.

I might have my old ones still. I will check when I can today. Nothing wrong with them except being faded..

I'd be irritated enough to go back and ask them WTF did you guys do to my sail panels? It might not help but it probably wouldn't hurt.
