How to remove junkyard yellow marker?

This is not a how to. But I'm hoping if someone answers it will be. I don't know how to remove it. I tried paint thinner and couple other things. Stopped short of brake cleaner as I didn't want to strip the black paint on the actual brackets. It's pretty hardcore stuff. Marked on the sides of my seat brackets. It's an eyesore. And I want to remove it. Any ideas?

Ya. It's like tough as.... Well you get the idea. Something must take this off.

Try cigarette lighter fluid or denatured alcohol. PB Blaster works as well. Should wipe right off.

I've heard that a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will work, but have never tried it.

I have both lighter fluid and PB Blaster. I'll give it a try. Thanks bud.

Try putting brake cleaner on a rag or Q-tip, and swabbing it on the inside of the brackets; you'll know in short order whether or not you have a paint that's safe around brake cleaner. In general, I've found that spray cans and powdercoating aren't safe, but neither of those is used on seat brackets, to my knowledge.

As an alternative: lacquer thinner or something similar usually works.
