The only thing I’d worry about is the finish. I’d layer it up with something else if you do plan on buying it. Roll on truck bed liner looks good and will be grippy. I bought cheap flat fenders and within a year a bunch of rust in the corners.

According to the info in the link they are 1/8" steel. That's a little thinner than what most are made off.

What's bad about tying into body mounts and how else would you mount a set?
If you're looking at something along those lines, I've installed a couple of these for friends who want cheap protection. They're basically the same price, are heavier duty, and the bottom of the tub will sit on them. They do require drilling though.

Good question. What’s the down side of these mounts. Again, no rock sliding here.

One buddy was super cheap and went with the version that didn't have a step, so his complaint was he wished he would have done the step version. Other than that, no issues. Again, there are better products out there, but they will cost more. The only recommendation I would make is to buy a can or two of some sort of rubber seal, like Flexseal, and spray the inside parts where they contact with the tub. This will help reduce the metal on metal potential for rust. FWIW, I did this on both and used one full can per side.
Tying to body mount is a bad idea since you can damage the mounts and/or the tub if the vehicles sees off road use. Best way is the system Savvy uses for their sliders - a strong 6061 Aluminium backer that covers the rocker panel wheel well to wheel well and then a steel slider that attaches to the backer. Savvy's system is very good since it uses a lot of fasteners to spread the load, and also in terms of how the backer actually gives coverage for the entire rocker panel area including the bottom.
The other option is Tomken that attaches to the frame:

Neither option is cheap but these are the right way to do it if you want proper protection to that area. If you are looking for a cheap step to ease your entry into the vehicle, or for very light "protection" for a mostly on-road vehicle, perhaps the ones that the OP posted (or the multiple other similar ones that exist) may be OK. I would never run that style on a vehicle that sees off road use.

You think there is potential for tweaking the frame/rocker panel area on a hard hit ?
I was curious on this topic (frame mounted vs Savvy style) a good while ago and did a whole bunch of reading (FWIW, I am running Savvy). I also looked up how people were doing things on JKs and most JK seemed to be frame mounted. I understand the goodness of the Savvy and why anything that mounts to the body mounts is a bad idea. However I am still not fully clear on why frame mounted like Tomken is bad (other than perhaps reducing clearance). Insufficient strengthening of the rocker area itself like Savvy?

The biggest problem for me is that the steps are only a couple inches below the doorsill. If you can get on them, you can get into the Jeep. I'm thinking about replacing mine with a set without the step, and getting steps that mount to the frame several inches lower.
How did you locate the center of the holes in the rocker panel? Did you compensate for the additional 3/16” in the body mounts? These look great and will fit my needs nicely.
I have a set of those. I had to repaint them after a few months. The step is barley wide enough, and not real grippy. Their best feature is they look cool, but not real functional. It was one of my first purchases before I knew any better.
Since I rarely use the step feature, I have to stand slightly further from the jeep to get in. Because of this, it's actually a little more difficult to get in.
