Pin in steering shaft vs. bolt

Brand new member, I have a 97 Wrangler TJ with 4.0 and manual trans...I am replacing the steering box, and every video and/or forum discussion i can find shows that the splined steering shaft attached to steering box is held by clamp with bolt. Mine actually has a pin through the shaft instead of the clamp/bolt configuration. I banged on it some, but don't want to damage, the pin has a hole on one end and the other end is flat and it is surrounded by what seems to be a rubber sleeve. Has anyone else seen this set up and if so, how do you remove the pin. Thanks in advance!

You're up too high. Move down to the end of the steering gear.

Thanks for the quick response! The thing was so encrusted with gunk that I didn’t recognize it! Worked the area over with wire brush and there it was...
