Should I be concerned about this inner windshield rot?

it's rusted but not near as bad as some.
if your considering that Jeep and want it to last your gonna need to address all that rust immediately, to the point of trying to clean some of the rust out of the frame itself.
that frames gonna be toast in 3yrs if it's not dealt with now.

Have you poked aroynd the inside of the frame. The spot behind the control arm bracket looks like a hole, which would mean some serious rot inside the frame. I got my 05 from NJ and that rust is NOT normal for an 05. It might be common for thr Northeast but dont just accept it as normal and buy based on that.
Yeah I think I’m going to pass on it. I think it had been damaged during the hurricane a few years back and they didn’t disclose.
Any idea of a national search site for used jeeps? I’m hoping to buy outside of the northeast

they find some nice 1's all the time and post them here.............just have cash at hand and be ready to travel.
I'm in NY and that frame is an easy FAIL to me.

The windshield frame is the only rusted part on my Jeep. I think the condensation and heat from the defroster accelerate it. This is from 4 years ago..

I’m also in NJ and have seen some pretty sweet TJ/LJs for sale around here. I wouldn’t trust facebook or craigslist. Half the time you drive out and it’s a total waste of time cause the frame is shot.
There’s a niceeeee LJR somewhere near down the shore. 66k on it or something. If I had the cash I’d be checking that out. Just gotta watch the beach Jeeps, they have a lot of rust secrets. I dug sand out of a frame of an LJ I went to look at up north by me.
Just don’t be like me and buy one that needs 4 frame patches and 3 axle spots rewelded later
