So i just got a bug to pick up a new every day carry. I figured why everyone else was trying to buy up all th grocery store stuff. I would take the time to get a new gun......... the first 4 stores i went to were packed with people who i would not trust with a rubber band gun.

Finally just went to a small shop and even they had the idiots running around and trying to buy 50k rounds of ammo.

well i did find one. A nice Springfield arms KDD 9mm. Unfortunately i have to wait for it to be shipped from the factory.

Drove past Williams gun sight today while running errands, happened to take notice the parking lot looked a tad past overfull for parking... carried on with my drive with my Sig Sauer in my pocket and enjoyed the rest of the day.
Did think for a split second though i was happy to not need to make a trip there today though.

Never know when you might need to rob someone at gunpoint to get more TP.

Shit... I'm just concerned about protecting my massive TP stash. Can't have any of these outlaws trying to get the jump on me.

(5 rolls left) if it all goes to hell i'm not to proud to stand up , take 1 step forward and wash my ass in the shower.
You might have to start practicing the "One Square a day" method...
G.I. butt wipe
During World wars I and II,American foot soldiers were only issued about 10 individual squares of toilet paper to keep backpack weight and volume to a minimum. If a soldier needed to wipe his butt,he would take one square of toilet paper and fold it into quarters. He would then tear out a semicircular portion from the common corner which left a hole in the middle of the paper when unfolded. He would then stick his forefinger through the hole and wipe his ass with the protruding finger. The paper was grasped at the base of the finger with the free hand while the soiled finger was slowly pulled free of the paper. The contaminated square was then discarded and the corner previously removed was used to clean from under the fingernail.

Almost stopped by there on my way back from picking up a winch mount, glad I didn't bother. I love that place, nothing says 'merica like Williams GSC! I've taken all of our exchange students there.

Hand full of snow would work.....This is getting us ready for the big one, went to Costco to get vodka and some other stuff and the parking lot was overfull and people were parking on the grass, I left. I text the family and said the herd is starting to panic! If I went to stock up on anything for this one it would be a half barrel of beer (16 Gal.) in the keg-o-rater. For the big one, food and ammo!....And well 3 kegs...

I envy people with 9mm and 45acp being able to get cheap ammo. My Taurus Judge uses 45 Colt and .410 that stuff is expensive. The .410 shot rounds are perfect for the rattlesnakes out here though, even shot size as small as #9 wrecks them.

That's only going to piss off the bad guy, give her a chance and buy her a niner too!

she's welcome to grab any piece she wants should the need arise. but at 89# the 32 is easy for her to control (S&W feather light, no safety, no hammer, just point n pull w/ HP's).
the 9 jumps on her, same with the 45 she can't fire quick enough accurately after the 1st round at all. and she's afraid of the 44 and the 12ga will put her onto her ass. but the choice is hers.

The LGS that we hang out in has been extremely busy. Just they other day, they sold a record 80 guns in one day. Mainly shotguns, and AR platform rifles.

Many buyers wanted handguns. Just about everyone mentioned Covid-19, or the current situation in the country with panic buying and wanting to protect themselves and their resources.

But in NY you cant even ask to see a handgun without showing a permit. Many couldn’t believe “how stupid” the law was. And after having the purchase/permit process explained to them,

(in NY, where I live, you must apply for a handgun permit with the local PD. Wait about 4-6 mos for a background check. Once you receive your permit, go to store, do NICS, buy gun. Leave gun at store, take receipt to Pistol license section at PD, have it added to your permit, then go back to store to get gun)

They were even more upset and crying about the stupid laws after being denied the ability to walk out with a handgun.

72 were first time gun buyers/owners.

I know we’re not supposed to use identity politics. But according to one of the guys behind the counter, based upon looks, mannerisms, and conversation with said buyers, most would’ve fit into the “activist, liberal types, mostly from affluent areas”. His words. Although they were a little more animated.

He said it was very interesting to see what he believed, were people who were “probably” on the opposite side of the gun ownership debate pior to this pandemic, who were more upset with being told that they can’t have what they wanted, that there were actual laws that needed to be followed and it didn’t matter who they were, or who they knew.

Yesterday, when they pulled up to the store, there was a line of people waiting.

Went to get some anmo and parts for the good ol’ Glock 17 the other day and the store was pretty much empty. Next door theres an ace and we needed a few bolts for a project on my dads cj-5 and it was busy as hell with people who were trying to find/buy toilet paper and baby wipes... I was surprised how slow the gun store was but i guess its a Comifornia thing.
