Agreed. I could have sworn that some TJ’s came without it. But I think it was only the Rubi.
I would love to remove it and run it blank there, but there is a gaping hole behind that flare extension.
Could I pull it, weld some plate there and have it painted? Sure, but just have to finish some other projects first.
Bushwhacker makes a flat flare extension, and I have always made a half effort to find it online to purchase. But now that I looked it up, maybe they are only for YJ’s. Not sure why it wouldn't fit on a TJ though.

I was given a brand new set of Quadratec’s clone Moabs in the machined finish. Just gotta order some tires, put my springs in, and call it done for now.
Sulking because it's confined to the garage like everyone else's right now.

I, too, have "garage tires". Turns out you can fit 21" tires on a TJ...

i lost my garage last yr, when i sold my house. my girls place has a 1960's single car flat top. that i can barely fit into, and leaks pretty bad. the roof needs replaced this yr (hell the whole thing needs rebuilt to something usable).
anyway an add popped up on FB market place. co-op build and storage space.
250$ a month for a 20x25 space. this is a private co-op i would have to be voted in by the other 5 members and have a background check (no issues there).
if accepted this would gain me access to the secured. heated building 24/7. it's about 15m away from home, 1 burb over.
my own 20x25 space with shop supplied air and 220 electric.
and a huge common open work area with 2 lifts and a tire machine, and big over head door.
wish i'd found this add 6 months ago, but i'm considering it........i need a garage and am reluctant to build, cause i want out if OHIO.
