Wife and I just bought a 2006 TJ and these brackets were in it. Pair marked Left and Right. Thinking they are possibly some type of light mount?

Hopefully someone can help, thanks!

If you buy an aftermarket top with a frame (like a Bestop) they will generally come with those brackets. If you buy a used OEM top you will need those.

Good to know. Someone in the local Jeep group has an OEM frame they are giving us, so we may need these.

We bought a Rampage frameless trail top that we are really enjoying, but we need to add spacers to the back of the rear seat. Our son's carseat pushes out on the slanted rear window.

If you buy new fabric for the OEM frame or even a whole new top with a frame, I highly recommend the Bestop Supertop in Twill fabric. Bestop made all of the factory tops, so it fits like a glove. Sailcloth was the factory fabric. The Twill fabric is much thicker and quieter, and was even quieter than my hardtop before I insulated it. Not cheap but worth the money
