California NorCal Jeep adventures!

Id prefer the 13th if possible. What trails we have in mind?
Slick rock and whatever else you guys think is possible. I haven't been up that way so I'll leave those details to those who have. I'm not sure if I could get away with a overnighter since we just had a baby.

Would anyone have a preference for either June 13th or 20th?

Dude I can’t plant that far ahead. Lol.
I doubt I will be able to get out this month cause of all the craziness and had some personal shit come up. If I were to get out it would be into MNF somewhere others can’t get to

If its a small group Deer Valley and Slick Rock can be done in 1 day but wed have to have no breakage and not get anyone stuck for too long.

I think Deer valley and Slick Rock in one day would make for a VERY long day if people have to drive their and home that day.

We should either just do Slick Rock and take our time and enjoy it, or a Deer Valley/Slick Rock overnight trip.
Id be down for an overnight trip, theres some beautiful camping down Deer Valley

Should we say June 13-14th then and run slick rock the 13 and deer valley the 14th or do you guys want to push it back a bit further in hopes the temps will warm up? The average for the 13th is 65 during the day but after the 27th it 70+.

The 13-14th would be perfect for me, i would be able to do the weekend after as well. Anything past thats probably gonna be a no go for me unless this Coronavirus bs pushes my ship date back.

I am up for a slick rock run but I really want to get a run in ASAP. Is anyone up for a run this weekend maybe next?

I’m staying put - being in a more dense area - until all this blows over but hoping to get a trip in when it’s safe to do so! Still want to get to Knoxville this year looks beautiful.

It will till July, then it'll turn into a desert with 100*+ heat.

Back in the day when I was rocking 31's. Pre-fire obviously, so have no idea how it looks today.

Where's the M2? Mind if a fellow Jeeper tags along?

Your more than welcome. It will be me and my dog
The M-2 is west out of Corning.

From Paskinta you stay to the right to get on the M2. Then just stay on the pavement till you hit gravel. Once you hit gravel you just stay to the right and there are signs for Thomes Pocket.
There are lots of turn offs but they are clearly leaving the main road. If you make it to Cold Springs your on the right path as there is the M 22 that turns off from there up to red bluff but just stay on the M2 and you will pass Fish Creek then Thomes Creek and then the turn off is after that

You can copy and paste to google maps. I’m heading up shortly.
If I can’t make it I will double back to Cold Spring where the M22 is
