Bought a full set of Savvy double adjustable arms and a Safety Thimble to help stimulate the economy. At least that's what I'm telling the misses
I would have let them yell, and gone about my business.
Am I missing something? Some new expats I am with overseas wonder why they do not like us Americans off-the-bat when we go to small towns.
Because some Americans are arrogant and they label us all just like you. You gotta respect their culture.

Danke !The Americans I've met so far have always been friendly, and one of my best friends is American.
When it comes to interacting with other people, I completely agree. When I'm doing something for/by myself and minding my own business - I most emphatically do not. And as for people respecting others, Germans as a group are the WORST I've ever seen - at least the Germans I've seen in my multiple trips to Greece. Extraordinarily rude and arrogant. Some new expats I am with (overseas) wonder why they do not like us Americans off-the-bat when we go to small towns.

There's never an end to what can be done to a jeep. After a brief conversation with Blaine my Savvy control arm set is on the way. Buddy is going to powder coat as close to body color (patriot blue) as possible. Hopefully this will be the last thing for a little while... But, while I'm under there should I pull the springs and have him powder coat those as well..... Crap I hate projects, one thing leads to another, and another and another.........

I tend to agree - PC tends to fail at sharp corners and get corroded/rusted underneath. That will look nice.
Personally, I am not a fan of powder coating, if it is not prepped perfectly and there are zero contaminants, it will start rusting from the inside out and you won't see it until it's too late, plus if (when) you get a rock chip in it, you will not be able to touch it up, well, you can but it won't blend because the PC is WAY thicker than any paint, but by then the air has gotten under it and the rest is screwed anyway...again, just personal opinion from personal experiences.
I like liquid paint.
Oh dear. I have a leaking pan gasket. I tightened a bunch of loose pan bolts and it seems to be "ok for NOW", but if I end up replacing the pan gasket, I might as well do the rear main too - and renew the oil pump as well perhaps? But hearing of problems like this makes me want to have somebody else do it instead of me!Beautiful day today. Took the Jeep for a run, made few adjustments. My rear main seal replacement was a big fail, it's leaking. Not sure what the issue is, I was very meticulous making sure all the surfaces were clean and free of oil. Use the anaerobic gasket sealer and all. Really disappointed.
I have a leak going on with my hardtop 2006. Already replaced a worn out seal on the back glass, now I think I need to either re-glue or replace the seal that attaches to hardtop itself. Just was looking at the seal a little closer today and noticed how much father down the driver's side seal is compared to the passenger side. May have to pick up some glue tomorrowA quality soft top or factory hardtop should not leak. Properly maintained TJ’s/LJ’s are not prone to leaking, contrary to popular belief.
I know your pain and frustration all too well. Took 3 tries for me. Twice with the Felpro seal and the 3rd try was OEM. Should have bought OEM after the first fail but I figured we just missed something so we redid it the second time with the Felpro and that’s when we failed again.Beautiful day today.
