Yep, that was my concern as well. You may need to clearance it a bit more, but it shouldn't be too much (if any).

Notched it out a little more and made it a nice smooth half circle. All clearances are perfect now. Especially stoked I was able to get the exhaust done myself. Now here’s to hoping I don’t have to raise my pinion too much more once the driveshaft gets here

I don’t think I will haha. Worst case is more crossmember and perch trimming. I can’t believe yours was that bad still. You scared me out of tucking for a while haha. I’ve got plenty of room even with the stock gas tank skid on there. My savvy one is back ordered so who knows when that thing will show up.

I honestly don’t know why I had that issue. I am starting to think it had to do with the JKS rear track bar and the way it was shaped.

Yeah your story is why I got the Currie bar and bracket haha. Man it took me 8 weeks to get my front bumper from savvy. They are definitely slow but worth it to have the best

Admittedly I should have just bought a different rear track bar (Currie) and tried that first. However, I'd always wanted a GenRight tank, so I guess it was just an excuse for me to spend more money.

But from what I am told, the Currie bar is designed for much better clearance.

The good thing was that that GenRight tank I had opened the rear end up so that I could have stretched it 5 inches in the rear if I wanted, which was the eventual plan I think.

Just got the driveshaft and test fitted! I was only about a half a degree off on my estimate. The driveshaft is sitting at 15.5 and the pinion at 16. Is that worth shortening the lowers a half turn or should I drive as is to see if any vibes?

Within a degree usually yields no vibrations, roll with it and adjust if needed However I would want to be on the low side instead of the high side like you are now to account for torque.

I say run it. I'm pretty close to yours, with my DS at 15.5* and pinion at 15.6*. I can change as much as 1* depending if you have a full tank of fuel or empty.

So the previous owner put on rough country control arms and I should warn everyone these should be thought of as disposable. One time adjustable if you will. They are so hard to adjust. Mark my words the next time I have to adjust my control arms I’m ordering Currie double adjustable.

If and when you go to double adjustables, go with savvy, stronger, cheaper, and lighter for all 8 arms. Single adjustables are a huge pain for sure.

And she lives! Test drive was perfect. Look at that belly . It scared me at first because when I got home there was smoke coming from under the Jeep. It was just grease sputtering out from the yoke onto the muffler

Thanks! I agree the stock belly is such an eye sore. An aluminum flat skid is eye candy

Yes, the lighter weight from the aluminum is worth it too. My Rokmen steel skid was one of the heaviest things I've ever lifted
