(Engine experts needed) Chirp, Vibe, Pop (What is Wrong?)

Does anyone know if the 42RLE TCM stores anything of value that could show what the issue is? My 2004 LJ has the separate TCM.

Just throwing this out there but when my cats failed, at times, it sounded like a tin can full of rocks. About the same as detonation.

I’d think both scenarios would eventually do what I encountered which was a misfire CEL.

I think the 42RLE stores the wear parameters of the clutches, it might have data on the condition of the lockup clutch. That's all I can think of. If you can't hear that rattle out the window I think the ignition part is more likely and probably easier to test out. You could just put octane boost or get race gas. That'll change the detonation point.

I have no front cats but I do have the rear cat. It looked good a few months ago but maybe I should double check that. (this has been an ongoing issue ever since breaking in my gears so it hasn't gotten worse)

I'm running 91 octane "Premium" and I can get 110 leaded locally. I'll have to look up what issues the lead can cause for short term use.

Edit: I don't think I've gotten a bad batch of gas since this issue has gone on for months and I've bought gas at different stations in different states (the only difference is that I now kept pushing the engine when the issue happened which caused more vibes and the pop. I have had the vibes happen once or twice before back in March above 60mph.).

Just a couple more notes probably worth mentioning. The transmission filter was last changed less than 5k miles ago and the fluid is all brand new (changed during my build and changed again less than 500 miles ago).

Just a basic fluid drop or did it get power flushed?

Could the engine serpentine belt become so unbalanced somehow when the SC becomes loaded at low RPM and cause that intense of vibrations that it feels like rumble strips?

Pan drop + letting the transmission pump the 12qt out of the lines. Replaced with Valvoline ATF+4. I've verified the fluid level several times and overfilled by 1qt.

Can you “feel” the noise in your gas pedal?

The chirping can't be felt. The vibe can be felt it seems traveling from the front to the back but feels "under" the Jeep (can be felt all over though). The pop I think I felt but I'm not sure and I didn't try to repeat the pop after the first time.

Is this a custom tune or canned from the SC kit?

Canned splitsecond box with a 7th injector. From what I understand the tune is conservative and designed for a larger pulley which gives closer to 6lbs of boost. From what I understand the smaller pulley I'm running is safe to use with this tune but leaves power on the table by running too rich. I've been wanting to figure out my issues before getting the tune adjusted.

Edit: The AFR gauge is in the video on the furthest left.

Gotcha. Well if it is tuned to run rich with that pulley and your seeing good AF readings we might be off on knock. Have you spoke to the tuner yet?

That sucks. Especially trouble shooting.

I still lean on TC for the vibes you are feeling.

Yes it does. The issue seems to be that right after I bought my kit the guy who bought BoostedTech fired the guy who designed the kit and used to provide customer support, now the owner of BoostedTech is providing support and isn't qualified. I think I'd be a huge advocate of their kit if they provided decent customer support. I sent BoostedTech the video and he couldn't hear anything and were unable to provide further assistance based on my description of what's happening.

You probably need a custom cam. Also, how many miles on the current cam?

I had torque converter issues with my auto, shuddered in the beginning then tossed codes.

Question: do you have the chirp sound when under operating temp?
