Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

OK choices.
Loose about a inch of up travel or 1/2" of WB? With the tire stuffed into the fender where I can barely turn it I'm at 8" between the frame and lower spring pad.

I think I should move the axle forward 1/2" and see what happens.
Thoughts?

I don't let corners, pre-cut or otherwise dictate the parameters of a build. Cut those fucking buttons loose, relocate the flare, and move the axle back where it works.

Ditch that adapter for the airbag and just build the bracket to hold it. That thing looks to be an inch that is unnecessary.

Actually the adapter is needed needed as far I can figure with what I have. You have to have some stand off for the air fitting which is dead center of the airbag.

What tire size and axles?

36x13.5x16.5 IROCK & Tera-Low CRD60 axle.

How much stretch? 7-8"?

EDIT: Sorry was referring to @mrblaine photo

Alright I know this isn't how many would attack this issue but I moved the axle forward 1/2" and it all fits GREAT. With the flare on it barely rubs and I am getting full stuff on the airbag. I was either hitting the internal bump stop or the mounts inside the airbag. I was lifting the frame and had to lower the axle just a bit.
The airbag is compressed to 6" and I'm not getting any more than that. I think it looks great and works for me.

The lower arm is almost hitting the frame at this point. Didn't you have this happening on yours @jjvw?

The tire clears the corner at full stuff.

It is just rubbing on the flare here.

Not centered in the wheelwell but who cares?

It could go up a little more here but I'd cut the corner some.

Now time for lunch then switch sides and check clearance on the drivers side.

At ride height that tire will probably look almost centered in the wheel well. Do you have a pic with the tire and flare on at assumed ride height? Departure angle looks good. I’m glad you bumped the axle slightly forward to make it work cleanly.

It shouldn't center in the wheel well at full articulation, it should be rubbing the rear part.

Okay did anyone look at the brackets I fab up with cardboard? What does anyone think about them?
