Just staring at my new AntiRock in the box, it's so cool looking. I need to nose the TJ in here at the end of one of the next few days and throw it on. I'm possibly more stoked for this than the Rubicrawler....... :p

I'm gonna start on the softest setting, I don't care if it sways a little more. If I lose control and crash and die in the canyon on my way home, I will donate my Jeeps parts to JeepTJForum in my will. The rule will be a cage match between members, whoever wins gets the parts at stake. Sorta like a Fight Club, but for Jeep parts.

Dibs on the Rubicrawler! I'll cage fight for it! (No hits to the face, that's my moneymaker).

I towed something before my entire 500 mile gear break in was complete. Nuclear meltdown expected. 5.3 miles down to the boat launch with that heavy beast.

Actually not 100% sure if I've hit 500 miles, I was keeping track with my trip meter and it reset when I installed the old Odyssey battery. Need to drain and refill soon anyway.

So did you end up putting a Detroit Locker in the rear? If so, how are you liking it?
Been thinking about doing the same. Might go with an Eaton E-locker if I hear to many reviews about it being rough on a daily driver.

I did go with a Detroit locker rear. It is definalty noticeable. I like it, but if i did a longer commute it would be undesirable.

Cool man, my commute is an easy 15-20 min drive. The mountains and trails are about an hour away. I'll definitely keep the Detroit in consideration. I like the simplicity of it, yet also the proven reliability. 🍻

Yeah, my honest opinion is that I chose the Detroit because every selectable locker "I" have had acted up at some point and failed in one way or another and I have had 3 selectable lockers. Are they all shit, no. But the best traction device I have ever had was a Detroit locker. I recommend one to you, know what you installed obviously and drive accordingly. I have driven through snow and ice with my old unit in my YJ, I had no issues. They are a set and forget item.

I am running 75w-140 gear oil in both my diffs. My belief is the thicker/sticky gear oil helps the Detroit stay quiet and smooth. Mine is fairly quiet, it will let out a nice pop or click when backing out of a parking space and turning once in a while.

I do have an Aussie in the front, but with my Rubicrawler and locking front hubs i'm not worried about not being able to turn in certain trail conditions with a full front locker. The locking hubs are nice because I do not have to listen to the Aussie click all the time on the street when in 2wd.

Did more towing today. Hauled a Dana 60 to work and my 14 bolt home. Will get started on the 60. Not Jeep related though sorry.

Those 35's in the pics are whats on the TJ now. The Square is borrowing some bald 37's on six lug wheels til the axles are done.

The dual steering stabilizers won't be making their way to the Dana 60. Hydro assist high steer instead.

Love it man. Good friend of mine had a cut up suburban on 44’s, ran the 465 and doubler, thing was a damn beast. I should have bought from him. 😟

Sweet, hindsight is always 20/20 though. I will be on 38's to start. 5.13 gears and locked front and rear. Laundry list of other parts too. Should move around OK.
