California NorCal Jeep adventures!

Any interest in a day run exploring the SanHedrin Mt. wilderness? I've never been, and thought it might be a good day run.

Just one road in to the look out and same way back out, no side roads. They are buy up private land to add to the Wilderness area. I use to hunt that area. They just bought up another big chunk of private property a few months ago. Wilderness means no vehicle travel. Don't know if and when they are going to open up the new section to the public to hike on.

Let's run High Lakes June 27th. What you say jeeples?

I ran that Memorial Day weekend. The FS has filled in all the difficult spots so equipment could be moved in for erosion control. You can literally take a 2WD pickup up there. Because it’s so easy the number of people up there was staggering. The worst thing though was all the trash along the trails. Beer cans, paper even a car battery. We picked up what we could but we didn’t even make a dent in the trash. It’s sad.

I hate hearing shit like that. People suck! Sucks they also dummy'd up the trail too. Well, I need to get out and wheel my POS, so I'm up for suggestions that aren't a 5+ hour drive away.

With fire season approaching, we don't want to stray too far from home for the summer months. Once bitten (Slick Rock, 2018). That's why I'm gonna stick to day trips for now. I could probably swing Hell Hole if I go solo and leave at O'dark thirty.

How long would it take to get from Georgetown to the trailhead?
its about an hour and twenty minutes of the most scenic (except where the King Fire burned) drive around. I got a trail report from my buddy and he says “definitely some aggressive wheeling to be had”

When you say "aggressive", how aggressive? Worse than the Con?

it’s similar but it’s an in and out trail so you drive back up what you went down. When it’s wet it’s a winch fest

It’s a “5” Trail with a couple of “7’s“ in it. 33’s with a traction device, no problem. Well?
