2002 Wrangler

This is my 2002 Wrangler Sport. This is my 2nd Jeep and have had it about a year. In the last year, I have almost rebuilt the entire Jeep and still have a wish list a mile long. So far, here's what I've got done:

- G2 dana 44 front and rear axle assemblies with 4:10 gears, Eaton E-Lockers, 30 spline chromoly axle shafts and upgraded rear disc brakes.
- 5.5in RE long arm extreme duty suspension kit with the rear tri-link.
- 35in Mickey Thompson Baja claw radials wrapped around 15x10 Pro Comp wheels.
- Warn front and rear bumpers and a Mile Marker 10,000lb winch. (These came from my first Jeep)
- Slip Yoke eliminator kit and custom rear drive shaft.
- Coming soon- Stroked 6.0L chevy LS2 and a 4L60E transmission. Currently building the motor and gathering everything needed for the swap. And, a 50 in roof mount LED light bar, JW Speaker Evolution J LED headlights and a new overhead console equipped with a Cobra CB and a 6 switch sPOD.

Thanks! If I remember correctly, the front was about $3000 and the rear was right around $2800 with the rear disc brake up grade. Installation was $20 for some Bud light and a couple buddies to help man handle everything into place.

Hahaha! Yeah...... about that..... I ran out of gas and had to use some cheap Flux core crap to finish it. Since it was after the muffler, I didn't really mind too much.

However those leaky welds are still under the vehicle. Ya, since cat have been placed on vehicles it is harder to kill yourself with exhaust but it can happen. Retired LEO--been there, seen that. Please seal those things off when you get the bottle filled.

No worries, I'm going to revamp the entire exhaust system once my LS is installed. Unfortunately, the tri-link rear suspension leaves me with very few options as far as routing goes but I plan on having it dump as far back as possible. Once I get more gas, I'm going to add a different piece there so it isn't so close to the driveshaft.

Yeah, I was referring to the OP's plans. I have a friend who rewires LS engines, and he keeps trying to sell me a 5.3. I could get a 4.8 from him for real cheap. A V8 swap seems like a lot of hassle. I'm leaning towards a stroker at the moment. Of course, my engine is fine right now.

Suggest replacing "reasonably cheap" with relatively cheap. Have not found anything about Jeeping cheap!
