Headed up to Naches area this weekend for some jeepin. It was hot and fun, only 3 rigs including me in our group so about the perfect size for running quick.
No real action pics of me since I was leading but my buddies daughter tried to get one of me close to going over backwards but missed it as I was quick with the clutch lol

Looks awesome. I need to get out there. If you ever go out again let me know. I’ll have a mild build and looking to increase my experience.

That aardvark hill looks cool, i only got to play on rocks in June when i went. Did you smack your tub on this trip or before? Where'd you guys camp at?

Did you try the LEFT route up Aarvark Hill? Seen more than one rig roll when they hit that root sticking out.
A guy who came up from Portland snapped a axle shaft on his Ford 9" and I had to winch him to the top of the hill.

Depending on how much I get done if my Jeep is running I'd like to join you guys in Sept/Oct.

I got the tub at the rocks back in 09. We camped just off little Naches river road. Not a great spot this time since most of the good camp spots were already taken by the time we got there just after 8pm

I almost always take the left line and this time it was super easy being super dry. We had a couple friends roll going down it 5+ years back when it was sloppy wet. Me and my dad almost rolled his flatty About 30 years ago when we hit some ruts. Rolled back down pretty quick and broke a driveshaft u joint. I remember when we stopped we had bumped a log pretty good that had a bees nest in it and I got stung a few times lol

Root disappeared years ago. Climb is pretty much a short nonevent now although the rut can cause some trouble.

Shows how long it'd been since I have been. When I first started to wheel that area there was ONLY the left line going up. The middle and right line are bootleg trails.
Well the last time I went up that trail would have been around 2012 most likely. I really miss being able to hit those trails on April 1st like we use to be able to do. It is a hard trail to show how steep it really is or how long it is. Depenind on where you got stuck it could be a 2-3 long winch hill depending on what model winch you had. With my 8274 it was still 2 long pulls with 125+ feet of rope stretched out.

It is still possible to have a little unwanted excitement on Aardvark. This photo was taken by the PNW4WDA photographer (sorry, can't remember her name) last summer. He got it under control and backed down seemed to enjoy the fun. His kids apparently didn't even notice that there was any excitement.
