Your go to music

Been enjoying some Mongolian metal lately. This might not fit many tastes, but the deep, rawness of it speaks to my inner warrior.

Reminds me of the Haka. It’s primal.

go to IDK, there's a lot of good music out there. the other day "RADAR LOVE " came on and i blew past a state trooper doin about 90 without even realizing it...........he musta been sleepin, he didn't come after me.

you turn that tune up and i dare you not to stomp the gas pedal subconsciously.

Haha The Beatles' "Revolution" has that same effect on me. I, too, blew past a State Patrol doing 90, and he never pulled out. Good times.

While the lyrical content appeals more to my inner 16 year old than who I am today, the general sound of that song is fantastic. (y)

I can't stop listening to everything Tyler Childers makes. Freaking loving "Country Squire"

@Squatch since we were just talking about this

And I've seen all of these performed live

Oh and Gary Clark Jr.

Okay, not too sure my speakers could handle that much bass! ;) I was enjoying the sound of The Black Keys, but not sure I could get through an entire album of that bass.

And then there's Gary Clark Jr. Wow. Gonna look further into his music. That was awesome. Thanks, @Vasq!

I’m much more about sound and beat than lyrics. I can listen to any type of music that way from rap to country even classical. A good song can be nothing more than a great guitar player for me hence Eric Johnson Cliffs of Dover is amazing to my ears.

I'm quite the opposite. Lyrics can make or break a song for me, generally. However, sometimes a song will have just the right sound to where I just have to let the lyrical content be what it is, and enjoy the song in spite of it. And then there are those songs where everything just comes together perfectly. We all have our own ideas of what those are. :)

Depends on my mood. LOL

I absolutely LOVE Bear McCrear's Battlestar Galactica soundtrack. Has some of the best music ever put to a TV show (and as a percussionist and orchestral band person, it's RIGHT up my alley).

The guitar in this one makes me think of Diablo II.

This one is just absolutely EPIC if you know the scene in which it plays and what's happening. Absolutely EPIC.

Soooooooooo many great tracks from him from that show.

I'm also a huge fan of StarWars soundtracks (4-6).

This is hands-down my favorite StarWars track. It's just musically and thematically SUBLIME.

For more contemporary stuff, I'm all about TOOL.

This, right here, is the kind of video percussionists DREAM about seeing - percussive Gods like Danny Carey doing their thing and it defies words.

I love Tool. Danny Carey is right up there with Neil Peart. I really like Puscifer also. Their simplistic arrangements are genius.
