What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally had time to clean up under the hood.....So armed with plenty of de-greaser, a small wire brush and good ol' soapy water I attacked everything in the engine bay then finished up with some Amorall on the plastic bits. I'm happy with the results but I don't think it'll last long as were heading into the wetter winter months soon.

Rebuilding my double cardan joint. Got it all taken apart on my lunch break at work. Anyone have any tips or tricks about the reassembly process that i should know about?

Everything that is yellow under my hood is blue under yours... is that a NZ thing or did you paint them to match your blue?

Well spotted lol...yeah exactly mine where yellow...but seeing since I changed out my HT leads I thought I'd paint them to match. (looks light blue in the photo but its darker in real life, like a cobalt blue)

What brand is it? Any issues with the fit or any tips who'd care to share?

I spent probably an hour eyeballing my front end while inwardly crying. Taking it to the shop on Friday to get estimates on the control arm mount fixes that are needed.

Also debated putting the hard top back on. I forgot how loud rag tops are.

Installed Rancho RS5000x shocks. It rides a whole lot better and for a bonus it got rid of an annoying clunking noise I have been trying to chase down since i bought the jeep.

Seems to be a lot of folks around here doing the same upgrade. I think this will be one of my next upgrades once my Rubicon Flares get here [emoji16]

Haven't done it yet but, got the new gas tank skid today. Just a factory replacement so nothing special to show. Also ordered 4.88 gear and install sets, Truetrac for the 35 and Aussie locker for the 30:emoji_thumbsup:

Man why do y'all talk about changing gears like it's child's play? It appears to be the one modification that gets messed up the most often!

Finally went from 33" to 35" on the tires. Also changed wheels going from 16" to 17". To accommodate the taller tires, I've ordered a set of Metalcloak high arch front fenders. I looked at additional lift but decided to change the fenders instead. I prefer keeping the lower center of gravity.
