Would these sound better with the factory radio than after market speakers in my 05 RUBICON.?
The PO replaced with some POLK (I think) front speakers, but they sound very dull and muted to me.
Do you accept PayPal, and what is shipping to 46060.

I’m just selling the speakers, they sounded good with a Sony head unit when I removed them a couple years ago.

I'll do a little investigation and try to see if they would sound better with my factory radio which I plan on keeping. I know that the whole system needs to somewhat match to sound good. I have lifetime SiriusXM on this radio and don't want to loose that.

I just wonder tho if the factory radio has enough power to drive the Polks properly, and that could be part of the issue.

It doesn’t

That's what I'm thinking, and that I might be better off going back to the factory speakers, unless I add an amp.

factory speakers are paper and unless they’re enclosed like the ones I’m selling they won’t sound better.

the enclosure a speaker is in truly makes a huge difference
Polks are high quality
But a low quality speaker in a proper enclosure will sound better than a high quality naked speaker

That makes perfect sense, but even in an enclosure I wonder if the factory radio can push the Polks like it can the paper factory speakers. I know we can go on forever about the what ifs, but the bottom line is the TJ is not a great vehicle for a great sound system any way and all the components need to be at somewhat the same level to match up good together and sound good. There is always a weak link somewhere if it doesn't all match.
I just wish I could hear the factory speakers with the factory radio to see if it sounds better than my naked Polks. I'm not looking for an audiophile sound system, just something that sounds a little less muffled.

The sensitivity rating is what makes a speaker louder with a given rms. I assure you Polks have a higher sensitivity rating than a factory speaker. Therefore they would be louder than a factory speaker when powered by a factory head unit.
