Replacement PCM from WranglerFix

So a little update. I have been chasing issues ranging from my dash gauges shutting off, jeep intermittently stalling, multi cyl misfire, all 4 o2 sensors heater fail high and low voltage, chugging, crank sensor. You get the point.

I cleaned all connections and traced all wiring. Found nothing. It was suggested to me to contact Mark at wranglerfix.com. I am so glad I made that call! Mark was the one that answered and he told me all the symptoms of a failed/failing PCM before I told him the issues I was having. After talking with him for awhile I chose to order one from him. He told me it would be a couple of weeks to build one. And after a shipping issue he went and had one overnighted to me. Not only is he a genious to cure the tj pcm issues but his customer service is top notch!

I have had the new PCM from @Wranglerfix in the jeep for 400 trouble free miles now. Today I decided to put the old pcm in to test it since the weather has been cool and after about 20min of driving the gremlins started back up. I pulled I to a gas station and changed out the pcm and 5 min later co tinued on with no problems.

So if you are having the issues I listed or the cel codes I'll post give mark a call!

I remember seeing that notebook page in another thread, glad it’s sorted out! I’m very happy with my @Wranglerfix pcm as well. I wonder how many good 05/06 jeeps were sold or worse because of the oem nonsense!

I had many of the same problems...speedo all over the place, intermittent stalling (if speedo climbed past 80 on it's own a stall was imminent). I installed a WranglerFix PCM this week and the Jeep seems to run smoother and more reliable now. Yup...Mark at @Wranglerfix is a good guy to know if your Jeep is acting mysteriously.

I still have a curious situation where the speedo will plummet to zero as I slow down (with or without brakes / hits zero long before jeep hits zero)....is this a Jeep thing? Have you noticed this problem? Wondering if I still have a 5vdc short somewhere.

Not that I am aware of. Jeep is pretty much stock with just general maintenance performed. It has had a number of owners but does not appear to have ever been molested. Curious as to the type of issues that come with a worn/broken speedo gear?
