Happy Birthday G!

Looking good, that's tons of clearance under your skid, 21", 22" at the rail, new 35's helping a bit there!

Trackbar clears gas tank and crossmember with just a little grinding to the gas tank flange, yay!
I’ve got a laundry list of cycling items to check off still but all my parts should be here today and the goal is to be ready to wheel on Saturday. I plan on going the same trail I last went to with the 33s so I can really feel the difference.

The Rockjock rear shock relocation brackets did what I wanted them to. They changed the travel bias from 6.75”up/2.9”down to 5.5”up/4.15”down without gear. So with gear in the Jeep I should be pretty close to a 50/50 split

As always, brilliant.

Looks like I may be getting an Antirock finally. I'll never be where you are though. Happy off-roading

Installed the Currie bumps front and rear. One of my piece of shit rough country lower control arms joint is completely seized in the rear. I was going to shorten the lowers a bit to make the 35s fit in the wheel well but I couldn’t get that arm unstuck. I used a 3’ pipe wrench in my vice and broke the vice. Got it set up a different way and put everything I had into the pipe wrench and no luck. Soaked it in PB blaster for days. I decided trimming the rear wheel well wasn’t the worst option since nothing else hits in the setup.

I’ve got the @jjvw #stretched tj special now 😜
The front went pretty smoothly. I wish I had MCE fenders. I basically had to grind all the parts of the fender that hang down a little bit but it’s not noticeable with the flare on and absolutely no rubbing full stuff steering lock to lock so I am happy.
I’m not sure how most people get Currie bumps installed in the front but I couldn’t get the spring over the lower bump pad so I needed to install the spring with the bumpstop loosely inside the spring and tighten it once the spring is in place. Only problem is my sockets don’t fit through the gap in the spring. So I used a wobble socket and put it 90* and then a long socket extension with no socket wrench and hand turned it. Worked perfectly. I get to wheel today with my new setup and I’m super excited. People aren’t joking when they say 35s take a lot of work to setup. 33s take very little effort. 35s take a lot of effort in every aspect.

With the axle at full droop, set the bump stop and spacer inside the spring before you hop it up over the bump stop lower cup. Put red Loctite on the bolt, drop bolt into hole in Currie bump stop, move bump around until you find the threaded hole in the pad, start the bolt. I use a 3/4" six point socket and a short extension with my fingers to get them started. Once started, reach in through the spring with a ratchet with no socket on it and stick it into the extension that way. Snug the bolt down until the bump stop is just getting hard to turn on the pad. Any more than that and you are just sucking the bolt through the bump stop since there is no bolt sleeve.

Yeah those are the steps I took only difference was I hand turned a long socket extension with a wobble instead of fitting the wrench inside the spring since mine wouldn’t fit even without the socket on it. I read your loctite advice in another thread and I’m sure that saved me a lot of headache. Thanks! Happy to have it all done
