Fog Light Replacement

I have an 02 TJ that I just put the Truck-Light knock-offs in and I would like to replace my factory fog lights with something that matches that look...maybe square led lights or darker-looking fog lights. I don't need anything super expensive or crazy bright, just something that I can wire up to the current fog light wiring without any changes. Is there anything that you guys know of that would fit this bill? Thanks for the help and any other advice for a new tj owner would be greatly appreciated!

Go to tractor supply and check out the 3" LEDs, and O Reillys has a cool 4" led I used on my 06 .

Walmart or advanced auto parts has some great lights that will match your knock offs.

Amazon will have a some choices, in both round and square. Whatever route you go, pay attention to the beam width. Fog lights are supposed to be a wide beam, focused down low.

I was in a similar situation. My Jeep had lost its fog lights before I bought it, and while I preferred the stock look, I couldn't justify the price for take-offs and having such a difference in light compared to the Truck Lite knockoffs. I also didn't necessarily care about getting fogs, so I ended up getting Hella Value Fit driving lights and spliced their harness to the Quadratec fog light adapter harness with the correct plugs for my MY TJ.

I'm very pleased with how they look and the amount of light they throw is amazing. I don't use my high beams at all... Just use the fog light switch to turn these on and off as needed.

Stick with 55 watts unless swapping to LED’s.

Stock or lower. LEDs give you a TON more light for your 55 watts. OR - install a relay and run a new circuit.

If you go the LED route be careful about the cheap lights on Amazon and elsewhere. They look and work just fine but the RF interference blocks the radio reception when I turn them on. They have been removed in favor of Rigid LEDs.

I put some cheap Amazon lights on mine.... not true fog lights but I aimed them so that they don’t blind oncoming traffic.

Does anybody have experience with these? They should just hook up to the factory wiring harness, right?

just to add my 2 bits, I got some used pods on here, spliced in some foglight connectors from E-bay on the pod's side. and then threw some cheap amber covers on top. less than $40 in and they work great.

Those should work. The connector is prob not going to plug right into the factory Jeep fog light connector. But splicing one in wouldn't be too much trouble.

Those are what I used. I cut the light end off as it's designed to be plug-and-play with JK fog lights. But some solder and shrink wrap took care of everything... I had everything together and on the Jeep in about 15 minutes.

Those look the part, but since they're halogen, the light color probably won't match. That was my biggest factor in going with LED.

I bought a set of used "cube" lites from a member here, that work just fine, but absolutely BLAST the 27MHZ CB band. No problems on AM/FM or GMRS for that matter, but make the CB completely un-usable. Noisy switching power supply apparently. I'll leave them until I find myself in a situation trying to use both the lites and the CB at the same time - I really don't want to pay Rigid prices!
