Fog Light Replacement

I was looking at some Hellas and these seem like they might match the look of my headlights without being too bright (and potentially not road-legal):

Does anybody have experience with these? They should just hook up to the factory wiring harness, right?

If you want true fog lights make sure you get the fog version so you get the correct beam of light needed for fog or snow, standard lights will illuminate the fog/snow so you can’t see thru it, fog lights will light up the road underneath the fog/snow. Jeeps don’t have the best mounting spots, you want them as low as possible. I purchased the Hella fog style lights, like the ones you’re looking at, they light up the road low and wide nicely, not blinding the on coming traffic.

I've run Hella lights for years, across multiple Jeeps. They're a decent quality light for a reasonable price. They easily splice into the factory harness. Just be aware that the model you picked is a driving versus fog light.

This is an older picture, of a Jeep from years ago. The bottom Hellas were fog lights, tied into the factory switch. The ones up high were auxiliary driving lights, which were on a separate rocker switch.

I bought a set of used "cube" lites from a member here, that work just fine, but absolutely BLAST the 27MHZ CB band. No problems on AM/FM or GMRS for that matter, but make the CB completely un-usable. Noisy switching power supply apparently. I'll leave them until I find myself in a situation trying to use both the lites and the CB at the same time - I really don't want to pay Rigid prices!

I thought the same thing about Rigid but I found sneaky ways to get significant discounts and then used my corp amex points to pay for the fogs. They are A+ quality.
