This does not look right: dielectric grease or something else?

My local shop last changed my plugs during a head replace. I just pulled off the coil pack to diagnose a P0301 cylinder #1 missfire. This stuff was all over the plugs and springs.

It looks like dielectric grease. I put a light coating of dielectric on the rubber plug cap from sticking. It looks like they used a lot more than required.

Yeah someone went crazy with dielectric grease, clean it off.
Thanks! Apparently there are folks who believe dielectric means conductive. I might be having a little chat with the shop owner.
