What did you do to your TJ today?

Changed Gearbox oil to MTL, just as well 2 quarts in 11/2 out :( The filler plug was still factory torqued and had never been off, the yellow paint lined up exact, it was pretty hard going getting it off and I nearly gave up laying on the roasting hot bitumen road in 100 degree heat.
But its done! :)

Came home after a 6 day business trip and like always walk over to the Jeep, squat down, and look for oil. ALAS, not a single drop was to be had!!! Then I took it for a spin, going to try and spend sometime getting some things done this week while on vacation!
What was the cure?

Didn't do anything to the TJ today, but something *inspired* by it. Because I loved the speakers I put in the TJ, I decided to replace the 36 year old speakers in the old Mercedes. Got the back ones put in today, and boy did they wake up that car! Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the fronts, so the stock ones are out for now...

A couple weeks ago I replaced the nasty factory carpeting with the Bed Rug and found that the previous owner had driven without the carpets for a while and the drivers side floor board was badly scratched up. I swept up the worst of the debris, vacuumed the floor board and wiped it with acetone.
I purchased some Eastwood Rust Encapsulation and applied to the affected area. After the primer dried I dusted the area with some of the factory PG8 paint. Today was a great day to paint since we have a mild Santa Ana (low humidity) and it's quite breezy. The paint dried quickly.
Left the doors and cargo hatch open to fully air out.

Gosh I wish I knew!!! I left it for about 7 days 3 weeks ago and it had a few drops. I’ve accepted that it’ll drop, but I’m surprised it didn’t. I did nudge a few oil pan bolts tight so maybe that did the trick!
I have a very slight leak. Was much worse when I first got her. Replaced the VC gasket and grommets that really helped quite a bit but still get the onesie twosie drops. I may try the oil pan before getting to replacing the RMS.

The scratches in mine came from the debris that was under the carpet. I think missing carpet would have avoided those scratches. Either way your floor is looking pretty good now.
