Good, Quiet Budget Mud Terrain Tires?

So I've out lived my BFGoodrich All Terrain KO's. 15k in ten years they are cracking and need to be replaced. I lifted to 3.5 total and want to replace 32's with 33's, I was also thinking about getting Muds just for the look. I don't drive it a lot and I was looking at BFG Mud Terrain KM3's but at $263 each plus I will never wear them out especially in 6 years like the tire shops are saying, (They will not work on or fix a tire over six years old) I was wondering what cheaper choices I have.

Looking for 33x12.50 - 15 Mud Terrains which are fairly quiet and will last a decent amount of time. Thanks!

The Kumho Road Venture MT71s I have are just as quiet as my old AT tires. Kumho just released these tires last year, so it's hard to say what the tread life is like. But Kumho's marketing says it should be reasonable.

Discount Tire has them for $185, but I found another site that had them for less than that and got a price match from DT.

My Dick Cepek extreme country tires (on my XJ) were quiet and very good in all conditions. The best part is they had a $200 instant rebate. I paid $595 shipped for 4 tires (33x12.50). When my Mickey Thompson MTZ P3 tires wear out, I'm going with these on my Rubicon.

p.s. They still looked like new after 10,000 miles.

Find a new tire shop and buy a good plug kit.

My new Grabber X3s are much quieter than my old MT/Rs. They obviously are louder than the Duratracs I also run. I do recommend the X3s though you need to go low on them off-road.

I had 33x12.5 MT/R Kevlar for a few years and they were great Offroad. On road performance was pretty standard for a mud terrain. They were relatively quiet until they started to age (like any mud terrain). Just stay away from the Milestar Patagonias.

I have the mastercraft courser mxt mud tire.
I am very pleased with the tire. Quite ride, wear well, all around good mud tires.
I have almost 20k on these.
I rotate with every oil change at 5000 miles.

For an MT that handles well on the street, I recommend the Cooper Discoverer STT Pro. I had a set of 35's for a couple years. They handled well on the street and the trails.

Good call here. Cooper STT Pro and MT MTZ are two of my favorites. Have to say though, quiet and mud terrains is an oxymoron!

I had these on my YJ for years - they were quiet and long lasting.

I have Maxxis Razr now, also quiet and have worked well for me.

I know there are 1 or 2 people on here who are really outspoken when it comes to hating the milestar patagonia tires but I have a set of the M/T 33x12.5x15 tires and I love them.

I've had them for almost a year, they have a nice aggressive look that I like, ride smooth and are absolutely quiet on the road. I highly recommend them.

It's all about the sipping. Look for a MT with sipping and they will handle wet conditions much better.

Cooper STT Pros. Mine are at 25,000 miles, 10/32”, good tire on and off-road. Handles wet roads pretty good.

Not as well as AT's. The more siping the better they will work in the wet.

Like shit. Wrong tire if you plan on doing lots of rain driving. Take it from me, I lived most of my life in one of the rainiest places in the country, Portland, Oregon.
