What did you do to your TJ today?

Lots of sand!

I just wanted to do a simple tune up...should have taken 30 minutes...buuut I snapped of a distributor cap screw and spent the next 2 hours chiseling, finessing, and sweet-talking the screw out. I'm glad I don't have to do that again for a while.
Now I'm on to bigger and better things: A 4 in. lift from Rough Country.

Right on! Nice buy. They are a blast! Perfect timing too with summer here! Look forward to interaction. Any ideas of what you might do to it?

First order of business is new tires. Current tires at purchase are 31s and have about 10% tread life left. Following these threads on pros cons of 31s vs 33s etc and right now it's all Greek to me. Not a mechanic or have much knowledge of the inner workings of cars so getting educated. And it's quite fun viewing the discussions. Next thing. New stereo. Have decent sound bar but stereo is not functional, can't see screen in day light and some of touch controls don't work.

Lift/no lift. I'm 6'3 so have a 1 to 2 inch lift woundnt bother me and provide some more off road options I think (never been off road) but rest of family is shorter than. 5'9.

Yeah, you'll have to crawl up in the TJ. But everyone in my family (all 7 of us) are under 5'6" so no worries.

On the new stereo head unit, make sure and get one with a white background and black letters. They are favored for convertibles for the very reason you cited, you can't read other displays...

Sounds good, the discussions are fun to follow and lots to learn. Most important things are to figure out how you want to use your Jeep and build for that AND have fun! Just Empty Every Pocket!

Cheap mod. You can buy new driver's seat rails that allow the seat to slide back another couple of inches. The extra leg room is great for taller drivers.

Washed and vacuumed, changed oil. Looks like a nice day coming!

After a day of cruising with the top and doors off I watch my Pittsburgh penguins win back to back Stanley cups. LETS GO PENS!!! View attachment 17236

I'm happy that the Pens won. My wife and daughter can't wait for him (Sid) to get back home (we live 10min from him), and they hope to run into him.

Thanks! Adventure Off-road Park in South Pittsburg, TN. Didn't get many pics and this one is a screenshot from a good video my wife took. Spent most the day on bunny trails but this hill was on a blue trail we circled around.

If you haven't been, make sure to check out Windrock Park near Oliver Springs, TN. I could spend a week there easily.

Not sure who he is but I'm thinking your talking about sid? I'm originally from the Munhall area, 10 min from the city.

Bahahaha, yes, Sid.

We're about 25min from where he grew up, but he built a house not too far from us. He lives really close to some great offroading trails too.
