Gotcha. Other side. I’m outside of Nashville.I'm in Bradley Co. near Cleveland.
Disability Hardship...Chris has a form for that. Ask for #10-134C.One day @AndyG is gonna get me hand throttle as I only have two feet.
j/k, I’m hoping by winter is over I’ll be ready to wheel at least once in our area.
There are miles of Forest Service roads around here that are mostly gravel roads that a car can make it. But, there are places where having some clearance and 4X4 are nice. I've only lived here for a little over a year.Gotcha. Other side. I’m outside of Nashville.
Man we are lucky to live where we do, may not have the dry desert rocks but we sure have some beautiful places to ride here in the Appalachian range!!My impatience was at work this morning, so I went ahead and installed the RS5000x's on the Jeep with the stock sagging springs and went out for a drive to let my daughter learn how to shift a manual. She has had some practice on the farm, but never getting out of 2nd gear. Today she got through all of the gears. I surprised her with an uphill stop and start on pavement. I can say she got first dibs on chirping my new tires. LOL!! She did alright and feels good to know she can do it. She's still with a learners permit.
Here's some photos from around our neck of the woods.
Oh, and I'm loving the new tires and shocks. Can't wait to get the H&R springs on it. Hopefully they show up tomorrow.

I'm pretty stoked that we landed here. Spent most of my life bouncing back and forth across the Ohio River in Indiana and Kentucky. The scenery doesn't even begin to compare, not to mention all the stuff I love to do is now right out my backdoor.Man we are lucky to live where we do, may not have the dry desert rocks but we sure have some beautiful places to ride here in the Appalachian range!!
Man you Tennessee guys are so needy. For years down here we didn't even have arms....just stumps. We didn't even have air. We breathed dirt. It was rough.only have two feet
That one of those deals where you are like...well the magnet works...oh my the metal I'm losing.Changed transmission fluid on my 6sp, simple process. Magnetic plug is working to catch metal. My goal is to replace all fluids, transfer case next.
Refill with redline MTL. Not sure it helped clunky 1-2 gear shift, maybe a little, still need to pause and match revs for best results.

Looking to do the same once I find a oem filter tube/boxFirst time posting to this thread after buying my LJ a month ago. Haven't had the time to drive it or work on it much, but have been reading all sorts of threads here on the forum as I work towards prioritizing what project(s) will deplete my bank account first.
After tracking down an OEM air box & intake locally, today I deleted the K&N cold air intake that the previous owner had installed....relatively easy first wrenching project!

I have a full bedlined 06.Finally got around to spraying the jeep. I know there are opinions out there about bedlining but I absolutely love it. It'll look even better with the black diamond top on! Also got started on the interior.

The bedliner went on incredibly easy and is very forgiving. The raptor kit came with four bottles and I used a little over 2 of them to put 2 coats on the jeep. I'll use the last one at a later date on the inside.
Likewise, but I hated the light khaki colour so it had to go!I’m one of the guys that likes the bed liner, but I would only do it if it needed paint badly. I wouldn’t do it if the paint still looked good.
your bed liner job looks great!
Was like butter, super clean cut. Just used a file after to clean up. If I had a better torch, would have been quicker and easier. I use that method on my RC stuff so thought what the hell. That’s a pretty cool way to cut the plastic (wife’s anger notwithstanding...). I’ve never seen that done - how well did it work?
That's great teaching daughter to drive a stick. EXACT same reason I wanted my Rubicon to be a manual and got lucky and found one. Taught both my 15 and 17 year olds how to drive it. Fun times! My impatience was at work this morning, so I went ahead and installed the RS5000x's on the Jeep with the stock sagging springs and went out for a drive to let my daughter learn how to shift a manual.
