Here is the reason the Jeep has been back burnered again. Still messing with my Chevy engine.

The GM TBI did not run the new engine well. And I added an even more aggressive camshaft when changing the intake last. Tried a Carburetor, I hate carbs, there I said it. They fine for a street rod (nope). Or your weedeater....It ran "ok" in town. But the whole choke circuit crap when really cold and then running doggy when I go up in altitude 4000Ft stink's.

I'm almost done installing Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 EFI. And proper in tank fuel pump with correct tank. And all AN-6 fuel lines/fittings. This system is pricy, but gets good reviews and support. And you tune it with a tablet or your android phone. Neat, I hope. Supposed to be pretty nice.

Pics for those who look in here. A pic or two the the Full Torque 1350 shaft in there too

Thanks!

The winch looks good without the cover, but I really want guard it most the time. It was expensive. Unnecessary, but a nice touch.

I'll paint it soon, I just need to do it correctly so it doesn't peel/flake easy.
I like the aluminum look of the bumper. We might run Denver Creek this Saturday in Pinehurst if you are up for a drive.

@Cross-Threaded-06TJ Your CB mount looks way overbuilt :ROFLMAO: Did you buy the tubing prebent from TMR also?
Thank you. Just know that the Stanchion style pillars and this type of "sport bar" is not a legitimate cage of any type, and is frowned upon here. It is not a through the dash setup and I am running it at my own risk to have something there when I drive around with my windshield folded down. And it may be replaced at a future date with a sturdier setup.

It was from TMR, and it fit very well, I only needed to weld it which I did myself knowing the liability. I only call it the Fancy CB mount to state that I know what it is and am running it anyway because I believe it will do something in a slow trail roll with my windshield folded down, another unpopular trend.

I stole the CB mount term form Mr Blaine, but means no disrespect to the man!

I would/may be up for it. I want to finish my EFI on my old truck. But actually getting out may be a good idea for me also.

Damn that is my FAVORITE Chevy square bodied truck hands down.

If anyone reads this, I am in need of a non Rubicon TJ dana 44 rear axle assembly or housing. Mine is bent from being rear ended a while back, a restraighten was performed. But did not successfully work and it is bending back. So, I'm F@#ked for a bit.

If anybody has a housing or axle, doesn't matter what ratio or disc/drum. let me know.

The accident report is long closed and the body shop who checked my Jeep back in Montana said it was all good. And when I went ot re-gear a while back I noticed it was bent and the carrier bearings were toast. A straighten was attempted and seemed OK, but did not hold.

Parts ordered to resolve bent Dana 44 issue.

Mopar New Old Stock Rubicon dana 44 housing.

Carbon Offroad 30 spline chromoly shafts.

New rear rotors and pads.

Yukon master install bearing kit.

The ring and pinion and locker looked to be good. But will be closely inspected.

If I hadn't been invited to go snow wheeling with @JMT up near CDA . I would not have pulled the rear cover last Friday to inspect the diff and make sure it's OK. I did not trust the straighten attempt, made by me.

So I have been keeping an eye on the rear axle after I re geared it. It had trashed the carrier bearings on my stock gears from being driven bent.

When I pulled the cover Friday the carrier shims were already starting to walk out of the housing. And the were nice and tight when installed during the gear change. So, that let's me know the carrier bearings are already getting worn/loose. And the housing is flexing or still bent.

If I didn't pull the cover though to inspect before a wheeling trip I may have kept driving til it made noise and then everything inside would be ruined.

I’m already saving you money. 🤣 Glad you pulled it.

I was gonna just post up after I installed them and see who notices, but work is slow again today at least I have flagged 6hrs this AM.

But, I ordered some white spoke steelies to replace my black spoke steelies. They were Cheap AF for 5, and supposedly made in USA?...my black steelies said China right on the box and 2 out of 5 wobbled real nice on the balancer. I was able to balance that out of the crooked 2. I ordered black lug nuts to try against the white wheels also....hmmm. I'm sure the white spokes were so cheap because nobody buys them!😂

I think it will look good, or at least be different. With the locking hubs in the front and some Carbon off road shafts in the rear with the logo sticking through it will be superb I'm sure.

Hopes are these white spokers will be straight as an arrow. Keep in mind because I'm a mechanic for a living and we have a tire machine here I will just have to sweat a little to switch them out and I will save my Black wheels for a while in case they look like pure shit.

Sure I could have ordered premium alloy wheels all nice and forged, but I'm not one of the cool kids and never have been.

Not really asking opinions, just throwing it out there if anybody else has ever thought about the white steel 70's/80's look I will be another test subject. And I will add pics of my success or failure. I also sort of want of want to replace my rear roll bar with a CJ8 style down tubes. literally nobody rides in the back of my Jeep and I like the look.

I did watch @hosejockey61 BFH garage video of his CJ style down bars and liked it.

I went with 15x8 5x4.5" pattern 3.75" B/S. Fangers crossed its retro cool. I may even need to run around with my "Desert Water Bag" dangling from my 8274 this summer like the CJ's of long ago.

Seriously retro cool! I had those wheels on my 1984 Nissan 4x4. They were the go-to wheel back then. Everybody called them "Wagonwheels".

That's my hope. I could find one photo online of a dark blue TJ with White spokes. So, it's not popular. I'm thinking it will be cool. There's a million black spoke wheels out there. The white will show dirt quickly, but I wash my rig all the time at work for free at the end of the day.

Between being able to fold down my windshield, running an 8274, white spokes, and a potential Roll bar change I should have a Scrambler wanna be this summer!

Supposedly my rear axle housing will be here on Friday. I hope it is as advertised. And I talked to the owner of Carbon Off Road and my shafts may ship Friday or early next week.

Nice guy to talk to, he had sad news about an employee family member and they were a little behind til the end of this week.

My Jeep is down for the count for a while. And Lewiston literally got crapped on with snow bad, which this town is not set up for. This whole week has been terrible. I'm used to snow, I moved here from Montana, but this place is so low in elevation it never sticks, not often at least. And this time it stuck pretty well.

I have 3 rigs, and not a one is mobile currently, I suck. Well , I would never drive my CJ5 in any of that shit they spray on the road...but you get the point. It also needs to have the wiring harness and EFI computer put back in and I haven't gotten to it yet.
