Installed savvy skid last night and I’m wondering if having to grind the support arm so it doesn’t contact the motor mount hardware is common.
If it’s that common, then why don’t they just send it pre cut? I didn’t grind anything, it seems that for such well designed products having to immediately grind the spot on every install doesn’t add up.
I was able to get everything installed but I flipped the driver side mount and support.
Everything lined up but the engine side support is more parallel to the skid and engine mount than perpendicular. Not sure if that will affect the strength (I.e. allow the front of the skid to twist on impact)
not the best pictures I can take some better ones when I get home.
