I'm loving this work Mike. Absolutely love it. Wish I could do what you've done!
Its not hard...just need to buy a welder, a grinder and a bunch of different wheels. You have 3 TJ's now...you're going to need to learn to weld and fabricate!I'm loving this work Mike. Absolutely love it. Wish I could do what you've done!
Yeah, I thought about a delete on that too...what really bummed me out is I ordered their license plate relocation too. GIANT laser burned logo...Nice work. At least you can leave the M (Mike) logo on the front bumper.![]()

I'm proud to display it on a quality product. If I buy a Shittybilt or other Chinese product. I proudly display my new WARN decal on them.I'm definitely not a fan of these badges.
You pay a premium for some of this stuff, only to be a rolling billboard.
I'm ok with the motobilt logo on the bumper. Prolly gonna cut it off the plate bracket though. Not EVERY piece needs to have a logo (no matter what marketing says). I left the JCR logo on my sliders too. It comes down to effort vs reward for me. If its easy to remove, I generally will. If its gonna take a complete redesign...I probably leave it.I'm definitely not a fan of these badges.

I think the only somewhat prominent non-Jeep logo I have on mine is the Warn sticker on my winch. I like it that way.I'm ok with the motobilt logo on the bumper. FOX is a good sticker, it means you're cute.I peeled the stickers![]()
I went to a fight once ...a hockey game broke out. Love watching Gretzky highlights...his puck speed was nuts.In the loosest sense of the word, yes.
I feel the same way. Drives me crazy specially when it removes material. I like the idea of this bumper and may steal it this summer! The current bumper in the back of mine is a Smittybilt unit and it is heavy.Finished up the rear bumper tonight. Mostly ready for powdercoat. I need to drill a couple more holes near the hitch, and make sure all my mounting holes line up.
Got the reinforcement plate done for the hitch. This is a convenient place for tie downs and what not... Not safety chains, lol. View attachment 238768
When I got the bumper, I was disappointed that the shackle mounted were not welded on both sides. Make sense, cuz it's supposed to fit flush with the cross member, so a big weld bead would be in the way. I had another idea and got my 1/2" roto-broach out. Bored a couple holes through the plate into the shackle mount and plug welded.

I'm not a big fan of logos cut into the products I buy. I've already given them money, I don't need to also be a billboard. Plus... This thing isn't really a Barnes bumper anymore. So...I changed the logo..

Finally, I fired up the grinder for little bit. Got rid of the weld beads on the ends, so they look like one piece.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. I can't wait to get it powder coated and see how it looks with the rest of the Jeep back together.
This is true!FOX is a good sticker, it means you're cute.

I don't mind a couple decals. I usually plop a mountain bike on my trucks, and I've got an idea for a new Rubicon hood sticker that I just gotta find someone to print.I hate decals
Same here. Other than that red W, there is nothing on mine. Since mine is older, the W is on the top instead the front. I have contemplated covering it with a sharpie! I also removed my Rubicon decal. What's the point?

Instead of cutting and welding individual pieces, I had my uncle's fab shop cut and bend the extension based on my design.

Very cool. I played until just a few years ago when they shut down my local rink. I miss it a lot.
I can inquire...@Mike_H would it be possible to have another of these made. If yes, please let me know what would cost with shipping to 65233.
Ok, I’m in the game now! Welder, grinder, some steel and a forum full of good ideas. I like that rear bumper with the end extensions! Might have to do that for the Twins rig.Its not hard...just need to buy a welder, a grinder and a bunch of different wheels. You have 3 TJ's now...you're going to need to learn to weld and fabricate!
