More Savvy control arm install questions

I am planning to install my Savvy control arms this weekend. I noticed the hardware is not the Currie set with a zerk fitting on the bolt head bolt to grease the internal mounting surface. This bolt interface seems like a mounting surface, not a wear or rotating surface. The Johnny Joint center should not move relative to the vehicle frame, and the outer shell rotates with the arm and suspension control arm. The shell has its own grease port.

Should I grease the bolts going in? Or use anti-seize? Leave dry?

How long is the lubricant good to accomplish its mission?

Should I spend the $250 (about $15/each) and purchase the Currie units? BTW, does not seem cost effective.

The Savvy bolts have a higher torque value (66lb and 146lb) than the OEM bolts. Should I use the suggested bolt torque or the OEM specific torque?

I didn't bother with anything on the bolts, and no I wouldn't get the greasable bolts. That doesn't get grease where it needs to go for all the reasons you mentioned.

My arms needed to be regreased in under a year, so I would suggest pre-greasing before you install them. Granted not everyone has had that same experience.

The greasable bolts are not used with the JJ on the Savvy arms. Currie does make a joint with a hole drilled in the ball that works with those bolts.
Where did you get those torque numbers? I went with 60 and 90 as recommended by Currie.

None of mine did. Pretty interesting how different stuff gets sent out. My front arms need greased already I think. They make a lot of creaking sounds right now.

They don't typically grease through the zerk, at least that's what I read and have found with mine.

I noticed the hole in the bolt doesn't line up with the groove inside the joint if you add washers. Especially so, if you're using the BM Johnny joint washers.

Doesn't matter. The bolt is not a zero tolerance fit so the grease has to go somewhere and if it is sealed at the ends with the JJ washers, it will go through the hole in the groove.

Unfortunately, the Savvy arms do not come with directions. The bolts are (Grade 8 fine thread) 7/16-20 and 9/16-18, so I looked up the torque value on the attached bolt chart. I used the middle value.
