Cruise Control Wiring Diagram Help

So I have everything installed and I tapped into the wires on the brakes and the wires on the clock spring but the cruise in not working

Looking again I have this plug not wired up yet. You guys said this went to the clock spring correct? What wires?

Okay so now I got that wired up but the engine will idle super high but if try turning the cruise on and off it drops rpm for just a second. Disconnect the wires I just ran and it runs normal.

The two wires on the black plug go to the two wires on the natural plug in the first picture. The natural colored plug is for the clock spring. The third wire RD/YL pointing straight up is the horn wire. With out these connected the cruise will not work.

Yes so I ran wire from the connector to the wires that matched in the clock spring ( see picture) and that’s when I began to have the issue I sent in the video above.

What was the actual part number of the two switches you installed including the suffix letters? If you have clear picture of the back of them that would be even better. Double check you went to the right two wire on the clockspring as well the the BR/YL one would be hard to get wrong but make sure the RD/YL is wired to the next wire and not the horn/

Yeah I just triple checked the wires I ran the brown with yellow to the brown with yellow and the red with yellow to the red with yellow

The brown yellow wire goes to a splice S107 from there it goes to the battery temp sensor and to the A4 pin on C2 plug of the PCM. you already had a battery sensor and the wiring on yours would have gone to the A4 pin not sure how you wired it but you need to retain the connection to the A4 pin as well as going to the clock spring. The numbers on the back of the switches are important there is one set for 1997 56007530AB and 56007531AB, another set for 1998 56007530AC and 56007531AC, another set for 1999-2002 56007530AD and 56007531AD and a fourth set for 2003-2006 56042310AC and 56042311AC all of which use different resistors . The can bus system in the PCM requires precise changes in the 5 volt system to do what you want it to, resistance reading out of spec can cause all kinds of weird things or nothing at all to happen. This is a simplified wiring schematic double check all your wiring you can test them with a ohm meter, from say C4 directly to #1 pin on the servo plug or C11 directly to the #2 pin on the clock spring. Just make a jumper out of some long wire to get one side to reach the farthest pins, alligator clips help or a second set of hands.

Right now the brown and yellow wire I have ran only to the clock spring same with the red and yellow wire. The battery temp I have the one on this harness plugged in just sitting in my engine bay.

And the red yellow wire I had on this harness I ran to the red yellow on the clock spring and I guess that’s The horn? If I’m reading the diagram correctly. And I know that’s not correct.

Ignore the colors focus on the pin locations the two wires for the clock sling in the center are the two for the cruise system the one on the outside goes to the horn relay.
