Bestop twill top giant logo

Besides the god-awful logo (which my god, make it dark grey or something) anyone else noticing really lousy fit nowadays?

My Supertop NX from years ago is tight all around on my 99 TJ to this day. But on our new-to-us LJ, the new Supertop fits like a tarp over a piece of farm equipment. Just an LJ thing?

Seems like Bestop is really phoning it in since they're really the only game in town now when it comes to any top needs for older vehicles.
My Supertop NX Twill top fit tight, and I had to work around a little bit of a hardware issue, but after 4 hours of taking our time, install was great. As stated I had to clean rust spots off across the header, and a few permanent small creases in the windows didn't go away, but all in all I really like the top so far. Wish I would have saved the money on the window sliders though. Real poor fit around the doors surrounds, and lower rubber molding has a 1/16th of a gap half way around. For all the money you spend on these, you would think the fit would be better. Had planned to also go with the soft top windows, but as of now, I won't spend another dime with Bestop!

SO much frustration with them, I got on their face book page and blasted them, their CS, the ordering system, the logistics system, the lack of parts. I got a call about an hour later and they had a top ready to ship. I went back to their page, and my comment had been removed. I ordered mine back at the beginning of April and hope to have by next Tuesday. Glad you guys to yours quickly. I was told when I ordered mine, they were changing ordering systems and that caused a lot of problems, oh and covid.

You would think they monitor forums like this one and would work hard to keep us happy. Guess not.
I tried to call their customer service to find out why they denied my rebate. There was 63 calls ahead of me! No way am I holding on for that long. Tried to email the CS department and email would not go through. Imagine that! So I sent it to the sales department instead. Their email worked. They can pass it on if they want to...........

I replaced all the fabric on my Trektop beginning of the year. Did take a few weeks to get the panels shipped and the big logo is on it, but it fits perfect. No fit or quality control issues. They did send me the wrong color on two of the panels, told me to just keep them and they then sent the right panels.

Interesting - I too had rust spots on the header. Wonder if a batch got left out in the rain? No permanent damage I think.

Lmao if I paid $1k for a top I would not want that giant logo on the back, I would expect a little better CS though, they seem to have the “Dont like it Dont buy it“ Mentality, even when they had misleading pictures on their website.

Thats disappointing to hear. I will look mine over. If there issues with the header and rust, i will make a call to them for a replacement. That kind of money, it better have no defects.

CS at most big corps is dead as far as I am concerned. Until I had Nick the other day, my experience has been crap. He made it right the best he could. Kudos to him for the help. It took 5 calls and 60 days to get my top moving, while for sure two people ordered after me and got their tops in a reasonable amount of time and before I got confirmation that I had one coming.

No damage as I could see. Just wiped it off and moved on. After waiting as long as I did to finally get a top I wasn't going to return it and wait again....especially with summer coming.

Good luck reaching someone in their CS department. I tried to call yesterday and there were 63 calls ahead of me! Probably looking for their tops or rebates!

I did notice the logo on the back of mine. But I was so impressed with the fabric and tight fit I had no issue with the Logo. But I hate to advertise for a company I have zero respect for now......that is my issue with the Logo!

I have fabric paint but hesitant to use it since I'm not sure how it will match the top. Bone head move by Bestop
Personally I would hesitate using anything to cover up or try to remove it. Most likely make a mess of it! With my luck the cover up would look worse than the logo! LOL and draw more attention to it too!

exactly my thought

Acetone will remove it if you're that anal. It amazes me that people think the leader in Jeep tops or any other company wouldn't stamp their logo on a product. They're proud of the quality, you should be too. I have some Shittybilt, Rugged Ridge and Pavement Ends decals for those of you that are embarrassed that you bought a quality product. I also have some quality" Made in China by Hunter" decals. People who whine remind me of large felines.
I would hesitate to use acetone. I can't imagine that it would be very friendly to the top material itself.
