Quick question from the new guy... I'd like to get a sun shade / bikini top for my TJ so we still have shade with the soft top open... Can I keep the sun shade on with the soft top closed? OR would I need to remove it to close the soft top? — Side note, looking for recommendations as well.
Thanks!

I run the spiderwebshade under my soft top, which I leave up year round, and have had it there for years. I don't know if it's a placebo or not, but after installing it, I noticed a significant reduction in the amount of heat I felt on the top of my head.

You can leave it on under the top. I use spiderwebshade. Made in the USA.

It depends entirely on how the front/leading edge of the sun shade attaches to the windshield frame. Normally you can't have both tops on at the same time since you can't latch the full soft top to the windshield frame while the sun shade is also attached to it.

Most sun shades extend all the way forward to and attach directly to the top of the windshield frame. That prevents the full soft top's latches from reaching down to latch into the windshield frame. That is how all of my various half-dozen sun shades and safari tops have mounted which prevented me from keeping them on when I wanted to use the full soft top.

Yep.. I run a bikini top with a header.. I just take off header and leave bikini top on still strapped to sides and back and mount the hardtop back on.. summer comes back around I just reattach the header and bikini top to header...

I Agree, it’s all about where you place the attachment points. However my soft top latches fine with the sunshade installed.

I run one under my soft top. I,m 6"1 and my head is VERY close to rubbing by I do like to sit upright. Just something to think about that's all.
