Well, there goes the engine

That black cone is going be hotter than hell in AL in the summer, keep her hydrated and out of the sun until she does not need it any more.
I watch her like a hawk, and she got the cone off today! She's with me all the time, six years now, she's my self appointed therapy dog, and she is an Air-conditioning, couch queen, lol!

Well, at least you’ll be starting out at 0 miles on the motor clock. And with your style of maintenance, it’ll last a good long time! 😁
Yessir, thank you, and if it's bullet proof like a 4.0 should be, it will last me from now on. And it better, I have way too much in it now, to ever get rid of it!

yeah... but once it's done it's gonna feel like Samewise riding a dragon home to claim Rosie...

Now i'm just overdoing it :ROFLMAO:

Update!
Parts are finally back from the machine shop, completely rebuilt head, block fluxed and honed.
The new pistons are updated, improved design over the weaknesses of the O.E. pistons with thin skirts. They are federal mogul brand hypereutectic with the coating on the skirts. Also the mechanic had the machine shop rebalance the entire rotating assembly and weight match all the pistons. Will help make the engine run smoother and last longer. Everything else inside, cam, ect, new, and improved.
also some new seats! Samwise is getting stronger.

Be glad when you get it back together!!! We need a ride planned with @Hog and @AndyG so we can make sure it's broke in correctly!!

Lol, no, I don't, hoping to get a fully itemized list from the Mechanic when it's done though!
Yea I’m not from the area I’m currently in. Took it to one shop and he just said to run it till I can’t stand to listen to it anymore then swap in another motor. Needless to say, I’m looking for another shop.
