What did you do to your TJ today?

Too clean doesn't go with your license plate.;) Looks nice.
The closest park to my house recently restricted access to anything larger than a quad, unfortunately. They have a land grant from the state, but it has some pretty stupid stipulations. Needless to say, lots of local wheelers are frustrated.

The next-closest part is pretty much a day trip from where I live. It’s a great spot, though — just gotta find the time!

I’m surprised there aren’t more parks in the Midwest!

Got the front axle fixed up and ready to wheel this weekend.

New Artec lower mounts installed.

Fixed all the cracks in the truss and added rebuildable upper joints.

Little clean and paint and she's back in her feet.

Replaced the bend rear joint while we were at it. Big thanks to my buddy Willie for doing the welding. He has a TIG and is a lot better at prep and pretty than I am.

Which spot are you talking about. Im looking for somewhere to take my jeep i just got. Illinois really sucks for jeep wheeling it appears.

Replaced my plastic oem tire valve caps with aluminum caps. Wasn’t too difficult. One minor glitch when cap started to cross thread. Caught it in time and it appears no damage done. Starting slowly on mods. Building my base of knowledge. Tomorrow I will “stroke” my engine. Next day I plan to change my gearing from 3.73 to 4.56.

Thank You Brown Santa !

I have my suspension parts, TC shifter and motor/body mount lifts.

Happy that it only took 2 weeks to arrive, but I gonna wait a few months till the weather starts cooling down to install. That should give me time to get garage cleaned up and save more money for the re-gear/lockers. The parts and junk are piling up !

Wow. I’m not sure we’ve had many guys tackle the valve stems, we sure don’t read about it much.

When my son bought his YJ it came with a Bestop bikini. He’s never used it and had no plans for it. It actually fits my Jeep fine, so installed that sucker today when the windshield channel arrived. The heat in this heatwave we just had was tolerable on the commute home, but the sun beating down wasn’t so very.

You cant win! too cold/wet in winter too hot/sunny in summer, nothing at all like the Wrangler promo ads of carefree scantily clad youth hopping in & out of their topless door less fun machine with endless beach and camping excursions!
Trip to the Mall can be painful :)

Maybe I’m just getting old. I’ve run with no top in the summer for years. This last few days I just had enough of the damn yellow orb cooking my hide. Not looking to block it totally, just cut the intensity a little.
What’s a mall? 🤣🤣🤣

Got new LED headlights in. Much better light output. Got stuck wheeling at night one time and all my halogen lights on my Jeep were worthless pretty much.

(Also spider Webshade peeking in there)

I wouldn't consider wheelin' at night such a bad thing. In fact if the wheelin' during the the day was intense enough to last into the night then that's the definition of a great day of wheelin'.
