Gaskets for leaking doors and hardtop

Just picked up the 01 TJ. It has an aftermarket hardtop, but is leaking on the rear tub corners. We literally just pulled the top off about half hour ago and they went for a ride to show the grandparents.

I'll go back and check the hardtop, but what do i likely do to seal this up? There is no gasket on the tub, so assuming it all goes on the bottom lip of the top.

Then i had to slice the front drivers door gasket as it was connected to the windshield and the top. It was pretty rough looking anyway, but it was stretched and thus there will now be a gap. Are those universal? I tried looking online and didn't come up with anything specific.

My 06 TJ hardtop has gasket on bottom flange of the top, nothing on the tub. Has never leaked with only four bolts in it when I temporarily install it.

So just make certain the gasket goes all wind the bottom of top and all should be well?

Any recommendations if need replaced?

I did some looking and sure enough the seal is chewed up on the rear corners under the hardtop, so it'll need replaced.
Thanks for the video, but i still have some basic questions.

Looking on Amazon for the seal kits, they show them applying to the body not the top. Much simpler I'd think to install, but more prone to damage as well. Is there a right and wrong way to do this? Is one better than the other?

I might have to build or buy one of those, but i need to get a usable garage built first. I might try to set the top on saw horses for now if that will get it up high enough and work on scraping gaskets while laying on ground.

That should work. Make sure whoever you get to help remove it understands it is somewhat fragile and shouldn’t be dropped.

What size gasket would you go with for a LJ hard top? Is 3/8 too thick?

It really only needs to be 1/8.
Any closed cell weather stripping will work. Cut to fit.
