TJ vs. a convertible car

I have a ‘95 mustang (the YJ of the Mustang world) and it’s a vert. I wasn’t specifically looking for a vert, I just wanted another mustang and thought I’d try a topless car.

Bought it years before the Jeep. I find I don’t really take the too down much on it, which is odd since it’s just pushing a button.

I do LOVE the car though, even so because most folks hate on the SN95’s. I’ll have that car as long as I will the Jeep for sure!

I could google, but instead I'll just ask - were the 95s the 4.6 or the 302s?

Only had one convertible, a 1960 Ford Galaxie 2 door, with a 352 4 barrel and 3 on the tree stick.
Red paint on black interior with a black top.
Wish I still had it.

Traded a 60 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop for it, a 348 3 duces with a 4 speed.
Wish I still had that too.

My favorite cars of all time: '56 Ford, '60 Pontiac, '60 Ford, and '67 Dodge Dart...in that order. ;)

Not my favorite body style, but what you've done with that one looks fantastic!

Thank you very much!!

If we’re being honest, when I bought it, the 94-98’s weren’t my favorite either. I really just missed having a “project car” and figured I’d give them a shot because they were cheap.

I graduated in ‘96 and this body style was in back then. So aside from being cheap and old school, it’s what I wanted way back when.

I’ve dumped a TON of money into it and it has definitely grown on me. She’s definitely a keeper.

I love convertibles. Had a '98 Cobra and thought I was the coolest thing ever. I used to put the top down in freakin January with a coat on and the heat blasting. The Jeep doesn't have the same drop top feeling though. Maybe it's the cage or maybe because it sits up so high. I love it too, but it's different.

I’ve always wanted one. I’ve been thinking of selling my 08 Audi A3 for a 1st or 2nd gen Miata but not because of the top, but it just seems like a fun car to whip around
I’m looking for the same. I think I’d rather have the 2nd gen for the engine, but if I got the first gen I could roll around singing James Pumphrey’s “Pop up up and down headlights”

Anyone familiar with that “song” probably couldn’t read that without singing it :)

'75 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible.

This car was nothing like my Jeep. A smooth riding boat in the California sun. Versus a bumpy go cart on 33 inch tires.

I loved this car. (Not mine in pic. But close. Mine had 14 inch rims and sat like a lowrider.) I bought it off two gangbangers from East LA for $1500. About as easy to work on as my Jeep tho.

The official car of Rock and Roll!!!
The Delta 88 is yet another car on my long list of dream vehicles I'll never own. 🤣
