I needed to set up a lighting system to tow the Rubicon behind the F250, but I didn't want to go with a magnetic set or mess with the diodes to use the existing lighting, so I created my own set up.
First I mount 36" of 1.25" square aluminum tubing to the tire carrier
The I used my old tail lights since I replace them with LEDs. I had to run a ground wire through them for the 4-pin flat connector. I then wired a 4-pin flat connector to each light then connected them to a 4-pin 'Y' harness so they can connect to the F250.
I then mounted them to some 1" square aluminum tubing. These will telescope into the permanently mounted tubing above and pinned with loop wire lock pins.
