Maybe you park in a neighbors drive. Let their homeowners insurance cover any damage.

If you really are serious...Find a multi-story (4-5) concrete parking deck/stucture. Park in the middle deck or next to top deck. Safe as can be.

I guess it might be for the super paranoid. I had a neighbor do that with his Porshe. Sure enough his yard and garage had a foot of water in it. He was glad he did. People still thought he was crazy, even after his car came out unscathed.

I'm just north of you and was thinking about that myself. I noticed most Walmarts in my area have an area by car service bays that is surrounded by three outside walls , may be a good place to park.

You have a really good looking TJ and they are getting harder and harder to find.

I hope regardless of where you park it, it stays undamaged and only gets rained on. No Jeep deserves to be destroyed by a freakin storm.

They predicted this hurricane season would be much more active than ever, after living there and going through a category 4 hurricane last year i'm happy to be out of there.

Hopefully it loses steam by the time it reaches FL but man those caribbean islands are being destroyed right now. Best of luck to all you down there.

I live in Houston and pre-staged my raptor on high ground. I used the lifted jeep to get out and get groceries before water got too high. Ultimately we Needed to be rescued by boat which was a humbling experience. Harvey was a water event. I assume since you have oaks you aren't in the storm surge area. I lived through Ike which was a wind event and having a generator, fuel, and a chainsaw were huge. Everyone focuses on bottled water for some reason but we just bought a case then filled all containers we could find. Put some on fridge. Some in freezer. A full freezer lasts longer when it loses power. Don't underestimate this thing. Think through some plans for various situations and be ready. Good luck to you!
