Best M/T tires for a rock crawler in 2021

If I ever replace my current GY MT/R tires, since the 35x12.50r15 is no longer available, I'd probably take a second out on my house and buy a set of BFG Krawler blue labels.

I am curious if the 33x12.50r15 are being discontinued as well?

I only see them available on 4WD.com and thy aren't shy about the price. $1575 for 5 delivered they say.

I dunno, I can't even get Goodyear's webpage for the MT/R to display all the available sizes as it once would. I sent them an email this morning trying to get a link to that page but I got a nonsense response indicating my email wasn't even read by a human.

While I don't have a tire recommendation and never will, I do have some selections that will put you in the position of needing to find another source for vehicle maintenance. You put any thing with the Interco brand on it on your rig and it will never grace my driveway while that tire is on it. Same goes for Pitbull and Parnelli Jones.

Why the ill will toward Interco? I used to love the Swamper SSR until they priced themselves out of the market.

I made a tire thread for my LJ looking for 35 12.50 r17s cause I made out on some 17 x9 3.5 bs beadlocks for my build. IF and I say IF your happy ass finds some tires you want right now you better buy them ! Dont be a cheap fucking date just buy them and go cry in the bathroom about what you pay. Shit is drying up quick depending on your area.

After unhappily going through multiple tires, I switched to the MTZ about three years ago and finally found a tire that I like. They're not the most aggressive MT, but they are a very capable and tough tire. They are relatively quiet on the road,, ride and handle well, and have excellent wet handling characteristics for a MT tire. I typically run them at 8 PSI off-road, where the sidewalls flex and hold up well to abuse.

Those are what I'm currently running. The only downside I see to them is mileage. I'm at around 25k on mine and they are pretty done. Your jeep looks sweet.

4WP has the Maxxis creepy crawlers in stock for $618. I'm not ready to pay that much.

They also have MT Baja MTZ which I've seen a few others still have.

Baja Boss and MOST others are on back order.

That chart shows at least one size that is now known to be unavailable, I wouldn't trust it just based on that.

Check on general. When I was looking, selection was spotty, but available. You might have to go with the metric equivalent (315/70r17).

I can agree with the out of round issue. As for traction, I've never had a problem in the NJ mud, but they don't seem like they would be that great for rock crawling or sand. The sidewalls aren't that stout.
