On my '06 Unlimited, I've drug my rear diff a couple times (with no damage) so I'm considering replacing the cover with a more robust one, or possibly one of those half covers that you put on over the OEM cover. I know the wrong front cover can cause clearance problems with the track bar, but does the same apply to the rear, specifically the Unlimited?

Currently leaning towards one of the add on half cover/skids for the added protection but also retain the proper fluid flow that the OEM cover has, as long as they don't have known clearance issues on the Unlimited.

I put a used ARB onto mine. Its the correct shape, is rugged, looks cool, and most importantly and the reason I really wanted a different diff cover: It has a drain plug!

I have the Rock Hard half cover on the front and rear of my Unlimited. No clearance issues at all.
