I have a few questions on the install of the revolution front axles on my LJ . I am installing the US made 1350 style shafts and have a black magic super 16 brakes with new steering knuckles so I know that they will fit.

First is I currently have teraflex ball joints and I am contacting the little nubs that stick up on the lower ball joint . What after market ball joints will clear ?

Second question is about the dust cover for the unit bearing . Is it needed and what is the standard practice when installing the new shafts.

If you didn’t use the stippled ones, I’d go back to the Spicer Ball Joints. They’re great, even up to 35s.

Are you talking about the splash shield for the rotor? I don’t recall any dust shield on my unit bearings. If so, it just sandwiches between the unit bearing and knuckle.

Don’t forget you’ll need to trim down the flanges on the 3 unit bearing bolts to clear the larger ears on the 1350 size joints.

I was referring to the dust shield that was pressed on the factory Stub axle.
it covered the back of the unit bearing

I already dealt with the bolt issue
