Savvy UCA bolts too big

is this normal, my upper control arm bolts that savvy sent with the CAs are to big for the stock CA mounts
should I drill the stock bolt holes out a bit?

also is there anything else I need to know when installing them?

I drilled mine out. I’m assuming you are talking about the upper control arm bushing on the axle side, correct?

yes, that's normal. You have to drill them out. It's not much.

not the bushing, just the bolt holes on the axle side mount

This doesn't make sense, maybe a picture? The axle side upper mount is a bushing.

Edit: you can get grade 8 fine hardware from a place like boltdepot.com , 3/8"-24 x 3" or whatever size you want for less than $10 delivered so research before you drill

Makes sense, I'd just use the stock bolts but drilling will make aligning things easier on you. Bigger bolts don't add strength, they are simply there because the johnny joint has a big hole. Stock bolts or size bolts will be exactly the same strength when properly torqued.

also when I greased the Johnny joints there were 2 washers, a silver one and a gold zinc plated one, I put the gold zinc plated one on the side of the snap ring on accident, will this be a problem?

I'm gonna drill it out, the new bolts are SO close to fitting, I'm only gonna have to drill a little

Drill them out to 7/16" and torque to 60lbs.

Any time the new hdw wouldn't fit I drilled it out so it would. The only ones I wouldn't do again were the axle side UCA bushing sleeves. Those were a bitch and not worth it at all! Live and learn.

Next time buy JK bushings, they are the correct size.
