To be honest I'm not liking the room the box takes up. I changed my sub amp to an old RF 325.1 and like the sound much better. Less power but more 'guts' as expected from RF products. I just don't know if I can continue justifying taking up all the room behind the back seat. So....my paths...

I have a deh-80 prs head unit ( this is one thing I won't get rid of) . A RF 301s amp left by PO is driving dayton 5 1/4 in the dash and JBL tweets on the dash using passive crossover. I currently have a p3s 12 in 1.25 vented driven by a Soundstream t1.1000d at 2 ohms. {I have 2 SA8 v2 sundowns...

It appears he was crossing those over at 200 hz. The tang bands have a response down to 78 so I'm guessing that helped with the power handling.

I am thinking of replacing my dash tweets with tang band modules. My tweets are better off axis to my ears also.

Did you ever design the grille for your tang bands? I've put the Dayton 5.25 in the dash and I'm running a tweeter from JBL 660c set on the dash. Sounds good and imaging is rock solid but I may want to try the Tang Bands. Thank you!

I know he hardwired a horn button on the dash due to factory horn not working. The wiring is something I will be tracing for sure. Here are some frame shots:
