    Here We Go

After a couple weeks waiting for parts, finally ready to go! Hopefully it'll be a good weekend!

Has Anyone Installed a High Beam Foot Switch?

I would love to do the parking brake mod. Would give tremendous space for a larger console and/or move the cupholders to be more in the middle.

Time for a trailer for my LJ

wierd ... my 2015 Taco had zero hesitation. It's the Limited 6' bed version- not sure if that makes a difference.

Time for a trailer for my LJ

Don't have pics, but when I hauled the 97 one time, I used a 16' trailer with the TJ facing backward. Allowed the front-end weight with the engine to more squarely over the double axles (less load on the tongue). Also, with the big spare tire and bumper, not too worried about any debris...

FREE 2.5 4 cylinder intakes, fuel rail with injectors, valve cover

Sorry for the delayed response - had to do some planning this week. Looks like I'm going in a different direction with the 4-banger. No need for the parts. Thanks much anyway!!

    Phone Mount to Windshield Frame

So I don't really use the windshield visor much, if at all. I took it off for a while - and don't miss it. Now I'm staring at the bar across the top of the windshield and think that's some pretty good real estate for a phone mount, albeit in a landscape position, which is not the end of the...

    Squealing from 4.0 engine

Another question. Does the sound go away at all, such as when the engine is warmed up?

    Squealing from 4.0 engine

If parked, does adjusting the throttle at the block change the sound in any way?? If driving, does the sound change while under load vs coasting??

FREE 2.5 4 cylinder intakes, fuel rail with injectors, valve cover

Unless I'm dumb, I don't see any PM or other info with a price for shipping the cover.

    A couple of questions

LOL ... then I guess we said the same thing using different words.

    A couple of questions

Dumb? Your explanation was very simple and clear. I was trying to add to that simplicity and clarity. Especially since it seems the OP didn't want to do some basic internet searching after being given the formal part name from the manual. Rather, they turned to want to blame someone for a...

    A couple of questions

My drain tube offsets to the side near the bottom, so it funnels water BESIDE the engine rather than behind it.

    A couple of questions

No. The original post didn't mention anything about A/C service. Was just describing where it is supposed to be located. Diagram from the internet below. The nut (#10 in the diagram) is attached to one of the studs for the heater/AC housing unit on the inside of the cab.

    A couple of questions

Answer to #2: "Cowl plenum drain tube" per the FSM. It's supposed to clip just above the engine block tight against the firewall. Should be centered above the engine block. There should be a nut that holds it in place, which is also one of the 5-6 nuts that holds the heater/AC housing on the...

    OBDII Scanner Options

The last threads I read about a couple OBD scanners were dated around 3 years ago. Anyone care to share what OBD scanners they currently use and pros/cons??
