    Trying to fix "first-build" mistakes

Hi all, after reading several interesting treads here, I decided to make some upgrade to my '05 Sport 4.0l TJ. The jeep was basically equipped with: 2.5' complete lift kit by Rough Country (panhard, control arms, springs and shocks) Rugged ridge crossover steering link, RANCHO RS7000 steering...

ABS sensor and heavy duty axles shafts

Finally, RCV axles arrived! So I’m going to install them into my Dana 30. As suggested I Removed the abs tone rings from the original 27 spline axles but I realized that RCV site is larger than original site. As a consequence the tone ring doesn’t fit. It seems impossibile that I would fit even...

ABS sensor and heavy duty axles shafts

@williambmac: thank you! Is your information for both front and rear? I'm asking because I understood rear axles shafts are sold with bearing already installed.

ABS sensor and heavy duty axles shafts

Hi all, I'm going to upgrade my TJ tires going from 33s to 35s. My TJ is equipped with front Dana30 and rear Dana44 axles. The axle shafts are OEM and an ARB locker is in the rear Dana 44. I use the Jeep at the weekend only doing a soft/moderate offroad (no rock crawling, some snow and mud). In...

Metalcloak rod ends installed with Rough Country control arms

I have to update my last message... I found contrasting information about the bolt size: It seems that OEM size could be 10mm which is smaller than 7/16. If it is true, also CE-9112S will require drilling the frame brackets. I'm a bit confused... maybe the thing to do is to unbolt mine and take...

Metalcloak rod ends installed with Rough Country control arms

@Wtrask: probably I'm wrong but, at the best of my knowledge, TJ upper control arms bolt size should be 7/16 (I have not measured mine, it is a piece of information I found on the web). In fact, BrunoPizz97, who has installed the CE-9112SP-11 JJ (bolt hole = 0.482'), has drilled the frame...

Metalcloak rod ends installed with Rough Country control arms

Comparing the features of CE-9112SP-11, used by BrunoPizz97, and CE-9112S, I found on the RockJock website, both JJ have the same shank, size and thread pitch, the same thru bolt hole (0.482' should be equal to 7/16). I recognised the only difference related to the mounting width: CE-9112SP-11...

Hi BrunoPizz97, thank you much for your reply. Taking into account your information I searched the RockJock web site and I found this: https://www.rockjock4x4.com/CE-9112S-2-Johnny-Joint-Forged-3-4-RH-Thread-2.000-x-.4375-Ball-w-Greasable-Bolt If I have well understood, Its ball joint housing...

Metalcloak rod ends installed with Rough Country control arms

I would like to have some information about the joint UPPER control arms. Did you use RockJock (Currie) Johnny Joint or Metalcloak Duroflex? May you report their codes? Thank you

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

I have installed the bracket and the MORE 1' body lift. No issues at all. I noticed a more linear response to the steering rotation after the bracket has been mounted (nothing of amazing).

Alloy wheels and steel wheels Lug nuts

HI all, I'm going to replace the original steel wheels of my 2005 TJ sport with new ION Alloy wheels. Are my lug nuts (in good shape) usable on the new wheels or do I have to replace them with something different/specific? Thank you in advance for your answers.
