If you don't need them where you are, you could get rid of them. but i think your engines pc would freak out and continually send codes, and cause fuel mix to be wrong.

I paid $10500 for my 04 Rubicon with 132k on it. It is a 4.0 with a 5 speed. I picked up an 03 SE w/2.4 and automatic with 250k on it for $1500.00 the 03 is fun for around town but no fun on the express way...very anemic, the rubicon is my DD. Get the 01 but i would try to negotiate that price...

What you carry inside your jeep, people, coolers, luggage... does not get considered in your max towing capacity. To break it down simply, the towing capacity is how much a truck can tow, and the payload is how much the truck can carry inside. Don't confuse GCWR with GTW.

I think the easiest thing is to just get it back to stock, for a run around town, keep the Rubicons miles low type. It has no lift or major mods, just a jacked up front bumper, nasty carpet and beat up soft top. I have a new soft top coming from the previous owner, and a friend at work said I...
